Ebron has been released: According to Spotrac, the contracts of three Pittsburgh Steelers are void as of Friday. These are the contracts of tight end Eric Ebron, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Hoping Brian Flores can turn Bush around this year. This should be his #1 Job here.

Also, curious to see if Flores brings any players with him.

Jackson would be nice, but will command a large paycheck. Fletcher Cox could be had at a similar price tag to Tuitt and be an excellent addition to Tuitt's presumed departure. We (reportedly) attempted to trade for Cox during the season this past season, so I would assume there is at least some level of interest in the player. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Steelers add Fletcher Cox in the offseason, maybe 3 years? At his age is he garnering more than 15 million a year? I'm not sure. He would be a solid vet to pick up and kick and early DL selection down the line a bit and allow us to focus on shoring up other areas with young players.

This might have been discussed but I did not see it. If I could make 1 (realistic) move it would be to go make a trade for the back QB in Baltimore ( Huntley ) . I realize its within the division and would cost more to make it happen but he checks all the boxes and could be a day 1 starter. He is young, can move, and has experience.

QB Tribisky (likely fairly cheap w/upside...if not, oh well)
    OL (any above average starter)
    DL (same as above)
ILB (spend some money...this is a huge need!) Bush may be the biggest bust in Steeler history!

Draft accordingly...we pretty much need help in every position group except RB...draft best player available!

I just don't see the Ravens trading Huntley, certainly not in the division. They need a quarterback who can run behind Jackson. Huntley is the perfect backup for them, a necessity given how much of their system revolves around the quarterback running.

The defensive line will probably depend on Tuitt. If he returns, I don't see them spending money there. Maybe a late-round draft pick.

The offensive line needs help, and some of it has to come in free agency.

I could see them adding veteran help at inside linebacker, especially if they cut Schobert loose.

Trubisky does make sense. I'm not sure he wants to sign into a three-way competition for a starting job, but he shouldn't be concerned about beating out Rudolph and Haskins.

Great list. Some I am in total agreement on and others I’m just gonna have to take your word on.

I just think we had a great WR group they the team didn’t utilize great and missed their expectations but can shape up perfectly if they all got on the same board and sharpened their focus and determination. I hate that it’s getting blown up.

Huntley isn't a starter, he had some decent plays, more as a runner than a passer.

Lots of similarities to another Ravens back up that ended up being a journeyman starter in Tyrod Taylor. Tyrod had 3 quality years as starter in Buffalo, but was never going to be the solution to getting them back in the super bowl. He then had a quick unsuccessful injury stint with the Browns, then the Chargers and punctured lung thing happened and allowed Herbert to step in and seal the starting job away. Taylor may not be a full time starter in the league, but is a similar style and size to Huntley. I believe Huntley could improve enough to start somewhere, although his ceiling may be limited. I wouldn't write the kid off yet. I also wouldn't bet the future of our franchise on him either lol

I made a post about him already, buy of course my pick would be Cordarelle Patterson...that's the most realistic of course if all the ones I want really bad. I want others worse but I think it would take a arm and a leg to get them...

The only other players are JC Jackson and or Stephon Gilmore

Doesn't matter I wouldn't want Huntley as the Steelers starter.

Jackson would be too expensive for the Steelers IMO, he will probably get 17-20 million a year, Gilmore is 32 and been injured the last two seasons not interested.

Yeah, I'm starting to look at the unrestricted list some more and I want to say Davante Adams but apparently unrestricted doesnt mean unrestricted because from what I know the Packers can and will franchise tag Davante...so how in the world is he unrestricted????

Steelers should have much money to go after FAgents. Let's hope they spend it wisely.

down to 28,731,582 right now in cap space. still a nice chunk, but we carry 3 into the season plus PS and draft picks. probably now 23,731,582. we need a safety, corner, corner, center, OT, ILB, QB, RB, kick and punt returner, long snapper minimum. we are at 22,414,424 in dead money. they have work to do so all these wants will have to be curtailed a little. we can still make some moves but we also then add to the list of needs.

They can easily create more cap space, designate Ben until later, do some restructures Heyward, TJ.

So the year they can finally free up a lot of cash they shouldn’t do it because it comes due at some point?

We live with this every year, I’m fine with it. They can fill several needs in free agency this season.

There will be needs in other seasons too. They have never gone all in on one season and neglected the long term state of the team.
