Man, I wanted RaShaan Evans coming out of College! I would also like Trubisky...And an OL ( or 2 ) I know that's a lot but...Send Bush, Banner, and Ebron packing...Also, I would think that the Steelers would have an answer from Tuiit, one way or the other...If I were the Steelers,I would insist on it ( BEFORE FA, and the Draft ! )

That really would keep us paying a lot of dead money down the line. Those voided year's cost money and have no player attached. We have pushed some big contracts ahead already.

I don't know... When is the last time the Steelers had 43 million in free cap space when free agency began?

I really hope they don't restructure Heyward next year, and Watt a little less as well.

Heyward is only due 6.5 million in salary for 2022, so there is not much there to spread anyway.

Watt, I would like to keep that restructure in my pocket for another year if they can.

I wouldn't mind a Watt restructure if it helped the team land a major player in free agency.

Unless Cam Heyward can sustain high levels of play until his mid 30s, I would advise against such a move. Not doubting his abilities or availability at all but being an Interior Lineman of either side usually see their overall performance greatly diminish after seeing over 30... save for a few examples like Cameron himself. Onto mid 30s??.... not too many names I can state had quality runs within the past generation.

Alualu has been injured the past two seasons though. Mind you I did state availability and sadly, Alualu has not been that in either. I do hope he can play out a 2022 season but back to back season ending injuries are a good pause of concern for sure.

    Does not matter.

Playing a season and finishing one are two entirely different aspects here. In addition, what is being ignored here is not the injuries but his age relative to them. As the body gets older, it simply does not recover as fast nor quickly as it used to.

By all accounts, I will not be surprised if the team elects to shop for an Interior Defensive Lineman soon or nab one in the draft. I would elect to nab Travis Jones but how high he will go is anyone's guess.

Sitting out most of last year with a broken ankle probably allowed his whole body to heal from the grinds of playing every week, so I'm guessing he should be good to go for one more. loudermilk will see much more time next year as well.

I have my doubts. Even with today's advancements in sports medicine and recovery procedures, in a position like his, it is difficult to say how often he will be on the field and never mind if he will possess the same performance as he did before.

Regarding Loudermilk... he is actually someone I have high hopes for.

wormley also had a good year for us. he should be kept as well. he had 51 tackles on the year with 7 sacks. he and loudermilk and cam and alualu are not costing us alot of money. well cam is but worth it. i'd still like to see adams signed. if we can get carl davis back healthy and figure tuitt out, im not sure why we would need more outside help right now.

fix the ILB spot and the defensive back spots and we should be in pretty good shape. that's why i would sign witherspoon back and move cam sutton to the slot and draft a corner fairly high. we have norwood and stiner at safety and i would sign killebrew back. pierre and layne are still here as depth at corner.

D-line may not be as bad as it seems. Wormley and Loudermilk have experience and could be much improved from '21. ILB on the other hand, is a mess. I'd keep Shoebert and Spillane as a backup and cut the rest the rest, Bush included.

ILB should be talked about more! We don't have ONE GOOD one imo, not one! They ALL stink!and the main reason our run D sucks!... Maybe another ILB Devin in the Draft! I really like ILB Devin Lloyd!

I am a PSU homer would love to see Chris Godwin here.

I wanted him over JuJu back when we drafted Juju.

1st couple seasons I looked wrong about that. But after 5 seasons I look more right.

He did hurt his knee late in the year so we may get him a little cheaper

The problem with Godwin is that he probably wouldn't be ready to start the season and there is a decent chance he wouldn't be 100 percent until 2023.

The other problem is that he will likely be expensive for any long-term deal. I think he’s good enough that someone will sign him long-term despite the uncertainty over 2022.
