Free agent S/CB Michael Thomas is visiting the Steelers on Monday

Basically we would be dumping one Mike Mitchell and adding another. He makes zero plays and creates no turnovers. Yippy Skippy, he will add nothing to make us any better. Perfect.

 

He’s made as many nfl interceptions in the last 4 years as I have. It would appear he is special teams/back up at best.

 

I wonder what these visits are like?
He’s gone already?

Do they tour the facility?
Hang out with any players around?
Lunch around town?

What do they do?
Seems quick.

 

STs demon...not a answer at FS. Could be a replacement for Golden as long as he's not forced to play oo much. Speaking of Goldens ...did Bradley coach Malik while at PSU....any chance Malik Golden is this years Hilton....

With this and Slater I guess they're trying to bolster the STs. Either that, or it's just garbage out/garbage in at the S and ILB spots.

 

Bostic is hardly garbage. 97 tackles is more than any LB we had.

 

Looks to me like 47 of those 97 were assists. I'm not sure how impressive that number is, especially if you take in to consideration how often the Colts D was on the field.

 

When you shop at the Dollar Store you get what you pay for. I hope Bostic surprises but don't be surprised if it's Dirty Red and Williams starting the season. As far as Thomas, who?

 

Like our defense? You know the one that couldn't get off the field. Assists or not he was still there to make the play. We probably could have used one of those tackles to get off the field against the jags or bears last year. Hmmmm!

 

If they scrap the whole hybrid defense with Shazier being the rover who covers the whole field then Bostic and Williams could be Farrior/Foote with Bud and TJ rushing off the edge. Sprinkle in Hilton blitzing from the slot and rinse and repeat

 

got 1 int in his first 5 years in the league. Surprised we didn't sign him

 

Let me add those 50 solo tackles is still more than any player we had. We pay Vince a heck of a lot more for less than that stat wise.

 

Don't matter much to me either solo or assist to me that says he is around the ball. jmo. He played 14 games and still was tied for 25th which by the way was more than anyone we had....Davis had 92!

Sort of glad this guy left without a contract, we need guys who can fill in with spot-starter duty.

This guy seemed only a special-teamer.
