Everyone seems to be reporting that the Steelers are currently talking to Michael Thomas. Definitely not a first choice for a WR replacement for DJ, when Free Agency began, but better than almost anything left on the Free Agent Market right now.

If the price is right, we might as well bring him in and test the tires on the 31 year old.

Meh he gets injured a lot and decides to sit. Do I don't see us giving him much and I don't see him wanting to prove himself for anything less than 10 million.

I would expect something soon for a new WR. Most news reports are not good about the crop of WRs after Pickens currently at OTAs

They said Roman Wilson is looking like your typical 3rd round draft pick that has a lot to learn in the NFL.

They said the DBs are just dominating the drills right now.

"They say..."? Who is "they"? News reports? The ones that had us trading half our draft for Aiyuk? Had us trading up to 12 for a CB?
Are you surprised that a rookie has a lot to learn in the NFL? And not one article i've read has referred to Roman Wilson as "typical".
Are you surprised that, while installing a new offense with three (sorry, four) new QBs, timing isn't perfect? And the defense has the advantage?

I posted this link in another thread, but here you go. This is from someone that is there everyday watching the practices.

"The Pittsburgh Steelers desperately need a WR."

Khan is doing the same thing he did with the WR room. Just fill it up with a bunch of canon fodder to make it through preseason.

I just hope this doesn't mean Anything about Najee's trade status.

Just because he is there doesn't mean he knows what he is talking about.

That is one of my least favorite YT channels to watch when it comes to Steelers content. I find that he just regurgitates as many topics as possible just to get lots of videos out with no substance. You probably could find another video on his channel with the opposite view of Roman.

    Simple.

Keep the likes of Najee Jaylen Warren and Cordelle Patterson as fresh as possible. All three are going to be needed a great deal in the Regular Season... so give these new signees every opp. to perform in the Preseason. If they can earn a roster spot?! Fantastic as that frees up Cordelle for primary kick return duties or even other packages Arthur Smith might use. If not?! No harm no faul as little money was paid to begin with. :drinks:

Naw, the Steelers learned their lesson after last year. Bringing in a bunch of good but always injured players, they just get injured again.

I would not take anything Noah or the other guy says past the outhouse. I think they will bring in some WR, but in every report I have heard or read, the rookie is doing very well.

I'm surprised some teams are going to be paying both of their starting receivers more than 20 million a year, like the Eagles and Dolphins are. Not the ideal way to build your team, not something I could see the Steelers doing.

add to that paying a QB 40 plus million (now nearing 50 plus), that a lot of cap in 3 players.
