Lamar missed a lot of throws against the Chiefs in the AFCCG, I have my doubts about him getting it done in the playoffs.

The Steelers don't have a group of 4, Golden is a free agent , Dupree asking price wouldn't be high at this stage of his career.

    I understand.

it is always right player , right price.

I doubt he will want to play here, he will want more reps and more $$

we will see, we watched this discussion 2 or 3 years ago, it came and went then too....

He earned $4M last year I’m not seeing him taking vet minimum easily snd for a number 4 that is all he should get

Maybe if he’s still unemployed in August

So Najee, TJ, and B. Jones weren't long ago. You can't hit on a 1st round pick if You give it away....You can get great Wrs in every round. We have, and so has most the NFL. The whole great thing about a 1st round pick is you have young cheap talent. If You trade it away....not only do You trade away a shot at young cheap talent.....You automatically got to pay.

We rotated 3 a few years ago pretty much two got most of the snaps last year

But I expect with a year under his belt Herbig will get an increased role

When Ingram was here he Watt and Highsmith had almost equal snaps

Number 4 guy gets to play special teams

    No use for Bud

That is all true. On the other hand, trading for a veteran buys you more certainty. There is value in that, too, if the price isn't completely out of whack.

Young cheap and about a 70% chance of being a bust vs a proven commodity at a fair price hmm that’s a tough one

Not that I’m in a hurry to trade first round picks

Especially when we can get a good center with a high probability of success

    And ditto wide receivers

Taking a receiver in the first is a foolish idea especially with how lousy their attitudes seem to be

We are talking for a Wr. Ask Yourself this.....which do You think will be harder to find in the draft....a good CB, Center, or Wr???
IMO the Wr is the easiest to find, and We , and many have found great ones past the 1st round. As long as the Qb doesn't suck ....You can find lots of good wrs all throughout the draft. It's not the same with CBs, and Centers usually. I just think it's dumb to trade a 1st for wrs

Again this is about trading a 1st for a Wrs....not just any position. Too many Wrs in every round for trading away a 1st. If We were talking other positions.....ok...., but Wrs, or Rbs trades for a 1st round, and the money. Hell No. Too many of them all through the draft.

they brought moon in from the ravens and they had perales, lost him then brought him back. they were kind of high on perales early on, maybe he gets the shot with moon for the 4th OLB. perales was pretty decent in college.

I’d feel the same way I did about trading a first away for Minkah, loved getting a player of his caliber and then hated the first night of the draft. After that all was back to normal.

Yes that sucked, worse would be trading next years 1st, then we suck and have traded away a top 10 pick, ugh! lol

To clarify that a bit, Chicago was not the worst team last year, they won 7 games, but thanks to Carolina they get the top pick. Not enough moonshine can make me feel good over that.

How would you feel if the Steelers traded away their 1st round pick in 2025 to move up into the 1st round to get their 2nd offensive lineman of Day 1 in JPJ? RT at #20, and then a center at 20+.

With Khan you get a feeling anything is on the table this year.

From what I've read, he's friends with Russell Wilson, wants to play with him, and may be willing to come at a cut rate (for him) deal. And wouldn't cost any draft picks.

That being said, O'Dell hasn't been O'Dell since 2019. Over the last 3 years (not including 2022, when he missed the entire season injured) he's averaged 34 receptions 470 yds and 3.7 tds. Hard pass except at vet minimum. He's a third WR, not the number 1 we're looking for.

He barely did anything when he was on the Ravens.

Uh oh, the Redskins just signed James Pierre. That could be the final piece to their Superbowl run.
