TRADE RUMORS: Steelers Eyeing 49ers WR Aiyuk for Major Offseason Move

 

Diggs is signed through 2027. I don't think he is going anywhere.

 

Aiyuk would be a great fit, but he would also be a very expensive one. He is in the final year of his deal. The 49ers reportedly asked the Jaguars for their first-round pick, No. 17 overall, and receiver Zay Jones in exchange for Aiyuk. The Steelers still have a gaping hole at center to deal with, so I'm not sure how many picks they can give up, and they would have to be able to sign Aiyuk long term for any deal to make sense.

 

Same thing was said about Trubisky. I watch every game Chicago plays...unless they are on when the Steelers play, and they don't show a replay.

Also they brought in many Players last year.

 

It does amaze me that big market city like Chicago can't get that football team together, It's like NY with the Knicks forever suck (I love it though, after working in NYC for 30+ years nothing made me happier seeing the Mets suck, the Knicks suck and the Rangers suck). I always said you had to move us out of the Patrick division to finally win the cup, ha.

It's very importent to keep that first for a center. I love those WR rumors, but I much rather have a center if we have to give up a first.

 

Although, "If" 1 of the 2 top WR's fell there, by some crazy insane reason.... it might be tempting.

I'm torn. We need another receiver badly and Aiyuk is an elite talent. If I knew Zach Frazier would still be there in the second, I may offer up our first for Aiyuk.

 

We need a capable veteran of sort. Going into the season with Pickens, a rookie, and Austin would be a recipe for disaster imo. Pickens is still pretty raw and has been mostly getting by on athleticism. Austin is finding his way and a bit undersized to be depended on too much.. and a rookie would definitely take some time to develop and have growing pains. We need someone that can step into Johnson's role with some experience and route running ability.
