Trade condition update: The 2025 6th-round pick that the Steelers traded to the Bears for Justin Fields will become a 4th-round pick if he plays in 51 percent of the plays this season, per source.

So, that's a 6th, most likely....why does it feel like we are robbing the NFL?

Curiously no player on the offense had tweeted or posted anything on social media welcoming our new QBs to the team

Ok do wait until 2025 to draft a QB depending upon what happens next year and then they add Chucky Wilson for QB3?

And you don’t think that is an issue? For god sake, the kid has played in four different systems.

QB mostly all wrapped up now, my guess is a veteran QB is signed for QB 3 or a late rd pick draft pick. A veteran WR will be signed soon I'm guessing, hoping for a RT as well and then C in draft (hoping for Frazier).

Wilson welcomed Fields to the team, does that count?

You let Smith, Tomlin and Wilson see if the boy has it and bears coached him wrong. With not letting him see the field that much. Because we know how he is with pressure, game play, etc...... which then gives you best odds to getting him to do a lower contract.

But if he's trash in their eyes. You cut him or ask him to take money like Mason Rudolph would.

Nah, Wilson is at age. And we have WR needing to be looked into.

I would still like to see Chase Claypool return and do the Heyward Bey thing on special teams when not being the teams 5th WR.

Big Body with Speed is always welcome on the Special Teams.

I have spoke on this subject in a couple of different threads. The players don't like each other. They are
all for themselves. What a nice culture this organization has become.

Claypool doesn’t have a special teams mentality.

    Old news old guy :smiley1:

Steelers' new approach underlines a shift towards prioritizing team players over individualistic attitudes, with recent trades and releases signaling a clear message of adherence or consequence. The departure of malcontents like Kenny Pickett and Diontae Johnson signifies a move towards a more cohesive team culture, exemplified by the acquisition of leaders like Russell Wilson and Patrick Queen.

Personally I don’t think Omar would have put up with AB’s crap

    Let’s move forward

I do not have a link, but just saw on a YT vid where Wilson (of all people) had posted something about this, stating something like "let's rock", if that attitude is correct, it's at least a good welcome and brings some comrade feeling to the QB room.
