Very similar, lets hope Bell has the career Franco had. Sweetness is my all time favorite.

Franco always showed up big in big time games, let's hope Bell does the same.

Franco also had an army behind him. :clapping:We need something like that for Bell...

Yeah it was the ultimate comeback route. Instead of him coming back to the ball the ball came back to him. I'd like to see Le'Veon try that route.

Franco had the Italian Army. Maybe Le'Veon should have the Marijuana Militia?

I feel Bells pretty clutch... For example, Christmas Day and last year vs the Chargers. I think he wants the ball in his hands when the game is on the line, and I like that. Same with AB.

What most people never acknowledged but accredited to his stellar career wasn't the immaculate reception, or Superbowl MVP, or 4 Superbowl rings...but the fact that he was an converted fullback. To do the things that he did at his size were amazing. To even be considered with the great halfbacks/rb's of that time was a major accomplishment.
The difference to me is that Bell is rb who will be great...but Franco was a converted fb, who is already great and set the standards

Bell reminds me more of Marcus Allen than Franco Harris.

BTW Bell is the first RB to average 100 yards rushing, and 50 yards receiving in a season.

Let's get him, brown, a ring, and ben and big ol deebo ring #3

I read that too and had to do a double take - it's hard too imagine it hasn't been done before with players like W Payton, B Sanders, OJ, E Dickerson Would it have held up had he played all 16 games?

Harris was still a fullback, but in that offense, the fullback was the featured runner. That continued after he left, with guys like Frank Pollard and Merril Hoge leading the team in rushing as fullbacks.

Definitely a bit early to put Bell up there with Harris, a Hall of Fame running back with four Super Bowl rings and eight 1,000-yard seasons. Would be nice to see Bell get through a season without getting hurt or suspended.

Bell is a bigger, stronger LaDainian tomlinson. He's this era's pass catching extraordinaire RB with vision second to none.
