We're still almost 30% of the year from real football. As I get older my tolerance for waiting has risen and dropped. Does that make sense? lol

Omicron for 3 weeks in January

In April thought I had it again but found out I had pneumonia

Strange world when you have pneumonia and that’s good news

    All good now

Since I could not find a 98 yard Steelers TD, here's a Casey Hampton YouTube video:

I couldn't imagine having this for 3 weeks. I am very fortunate. I only had two really bad days and then just mild symptoms. Glad to hear you made through.

My initial run of it before vaccination I was out three weeks. At the start of week 3 my job called and was concerned I hadn't returned to work since I was listed as good to return be this date.. I said I was told to stay home until I was symptom free and I was still having a fever, aches, chills and more. By week 4 the symptoms began to abate and I was ok to come back in. I was still not near to being alright for three months after, shortness of breath, fatigue and so on. I was the worst in my family. The wife and step daughter shook it off in a week, kids were positive and fine after a day or so. after each shot I was hit hard, shot one knocked me out for three days, shot two I was puking my guts out by hour 11, third booster was the easiest, just sore and ,muscle fatigue but gone in a day.

Good thoughts and prayers to everyone dealing with it agian, hope you are all on the mend soon.

Just out of curiosity were you and your families vaxxed and boostered? Just about everyone I know has now had it once or twice. My Lady and I remain hunkered down away from the madding crowds high up in the Sierras. No complaints here.

well. yes and no. yes we got the vax but not the booster. my brother died from the first maderna shot. so we got vaxed at the same time and i took the second one. after his death i didn't get the booster. people with all of them still have gotten it. my uncle is a retired pharmacist of 35 years, he said he's not getting the booster. so we didn't. we had a wedding (my oldest sons) and several people there got it. the best man the day after. my step mothers friend that sat next to me for a lot of the reception got it a couple of days after. another guy in the wedding party got it but he had gone to another wedding the week after in mexico came back and about 3-4 days later got it. he was vaxed and boosted.:cool:

Truth be told no one in my house is vaxxed. There is no deep rooted reason for that. No politics involved or anything of that nature. I hate needles with a passion. Everyone in the house is in pretty good health. My wife and I had talked about getting vaxxed many times and just never followed through. Honestly over the past few months you barely hear about Covid anymore so getting it was the furthest thing from my mind. When I first got sick I thought I had overdid it in the gym.

I felt like a truck hit me the first couple of days. Then I had one night where it felt like I was drowning in fluid(my worst night). But other than that my symptoms subsided and I overall just felt crappy. I never had a fever. The Mrs. had it way worse then I did with a high fever and chills. She only had a mild cough but a lot of nausea.

The scariest part was our 1 year old. He got it the worst. Very high fevers, a cough that wouldn't go away, and he would just sleep for hours. He had me pretty worried there for a minute.

I feel really fortunate that we only had mild cases. I have some friends who were not quite so lucky.

Sorry to hear that thorn. My close friend had a similar experience. She is a nurse and was down for 6 weeks. She walked with a limp for a couple of months because Covid somehow effected her muscles.

Wishing the best for all those affected directly or indirectly. And you're right, not political, just whatever you feel is best for your family and health situations. My Lady cant afford to even sniff pneumonia so I'm extra cautious and we've lucked out
