Figure it out, Silverback spends 100's of thousands of dollars training in off season to get his body ready for league play then they don't use him? Isn't Mike Tomlin the head coach? Joey Porter tells Silverback they will try to preserve him when it counts then never use him in the season to prepare him for play. Keep Dan Mccullers a stiff that has done nothing EVER for the Steelers. This has Mike tomlin written all over it. I hope James can get over this and retire as
a Steeler because he was one of their better players in the past 20 years.

 

Nothing is promised in the NFL. I'm sure they were honest in the fact they might grab a LB in the draft then anything is possible. They played him late in the year and he didn't show an ounce of heart like he did with the Patriots and we got ran all over. You keep bringing up Mccullers but are you just going to ignore all the reports of Harrison being a distraction? This is suppose to be a 15 year vet mind you. In a year dedicated to our decease owner and a fellow LB is in the hospital and can't walk and he's driving home from away games in his own car, not visiting Shazier with the LBs, and sleeping in meetings. Tomlin and Steelers organization did everything in their power to keep his legacy intact and he's too much of a bonehead.

I remember an article where James says he knew his role with the Steelers would be to back up the young guys but I can’t find it.

What gets me is James was all about making his sons give up their participation trophies but he expected the Steelers to play him over Watt, who clearly outplayed him? Did he want the team to show favoritism towards him just because he was there longer? Kinda hypocritical of him and nothing is worse than a hypocrite. Instead of handling it like a man, he threw a temper tantrum and forced the Steelers hand on the matter. Well, he got off the team like he wanted and signed with the cheaters out of spite. Let him go retire with them. The Steelers let him retire with them once and he spit in their face.
