The point of the matter is not getting into a fruitless name game. Instead, the bread is very stale right now and reasonably so after 15 years of the same. For better or for worse, we need a new perspective to see if the franchise can get energized. Sometimes a simple change in culture can do wonders for chemistry and the W’s follow. Who knew Matt Rhule would be worth a damn, and the jury is still out, but he’s got people excited down here in North Carolina. It’s FUN when you’re winning.

You disqualified cheaters or coaches that no longer have Tom Brady?

You just dodged the question. I believe the point was to see if people could name 10 coaches who were better, not necessarily replacements who the team would actually bring in next season.

Also, don't knock retreads. Bill Belichick was a retread. Andy Reid was a retread. Pete Carroll was a retread. Bruce Arians was a retread. Those guys accounted for six of the last eight Super Bowl championships.

Tomlin sucks but Matt Nagy is the biggest ****ing idiot walking an NFL sideline today. He's so terrible I'm wondering if Trubisky isn't a legit rebound candidate like Tannehill/Darnold. Have you seen the offensive cluster**** in Chicago?

Every coach in our division, every coach in the NFC West, Arians, Belichick, McDermott, Rhule, Staley, Reid, Payton, LaFleur...

How many is that? I can put some serious thought into it, if you like. That was off the top of my head.

    Ariens has Tom Brady
    McDermott has Josh Allen
    Reid has Pat Mahomes
    Matt LaFleur has Aaron Rodgers
    Sean McVay has Matt Stafford
Sean Payton HAD Drew Brees....lets see what he does with no HoF QB
    Pete Carroll has Russell Wilson
Kyle Shannahan has Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance
Matt Nagy - ARE YOU DRUNK!! LMAO dude sucks so bad, he's about to get fired from the Bears

So you just named a bunch of head coaches that have franchise or REALLY good QB's....nice

Kind of lost respect for the list when you put Matt Nagy on that list though lol

Kevin Stefanski is the only one that I kind of like.

Ten head coaches I'd take over Tomlin:

    Brian Flores
    Matt LaFleur
    Sean McDermott
    Sean McVay
    Frank Reich
    Andy Reid
    Matt Rhule
    Kyle Shanahan
    Brandon Staley
    Kevin Stefanski

    Assistants I'd look at:

    Eric Bieniemy
    Joe Brady
    Brian Daboll
    Josh McDaniels
    Kellen Moore
    Shane Waldron
    Joe Woods

Steelers would have been wise to at least take a look at Trubisky.

Rhule has all those rings. Oh, wait. No. His team won only five games last season. Throw in the fast start and he still has fewer wins than losses.

Of course, Staley has that long resume of success. Wait. No. He has one big win over the Chiefs. That's it.

LaFleur has had at least some success, but his teams have come up short in the playoffs despite having an even better quarterback than the one Tomlin has had all these years.

    Taylor? Seriously?

Hmmm. Perhaps you are just going thoughtlessly to put anybody who hasn't proven themselves to be horrid ahead of Tomlin? Yup. That's it.

There is not a worse situational play call in the history of the NFL than Pete Carrol's not running the Beast up the middle for the SB winning TD. Game over, but he decided to waste that opportunity which was a SB trophy and instead hand Marsha another gift wrapped ring.

I'm not sure how he wasn't run out of Seattle after that terrible decision.

I think Pete Carroll and Tomlin are basically at the same level coaching-wise.

I also hear about all the gripes my friends (who are Seahawks fans) have with Carroll and they are pretty similar to what's on this forum lol.

Captain Edward John Smith was considered to be a good and long tenured Captain, until he hit an iceberg. He lost his edge or whatever he had for so many years and should have retired sooner. Same with MT except he has more years left in him and needs a fresh start in a new organization. The Steelers, as so many have already mentioned, need new blood and ideas as all of our opponents know what we're doing before we break the huddle. I blame our situation totally on the ownership as their decisions have created what and where we are today.
