Wow - That link is difficult to flip through. I was really young when that went down with Holmes. It just teaches another lesson for everyone to stay away from hard drugs.

I remember that. that defense had anger problems with a touch of insanity. that's why they were so good. twice the violence in the game then, than it is now.

no twitter, world wide web, and mass media in those days. I was playing HS ball at that time in Ohio. old arrowhead holmes. what a D-line.

My uncle was also playing in Ohio at the time. Did you go to Kent State in the late 70s?

Oh. He actually got to play a little with the Bungles and got hurt pretty badly. He is still friends with the assistant coach and actually as of this week he is actively trying to get me tix to the Bungles game this year. He lives in OH and was just down here because my papaw died and that was his brother. What's funny though is that even though he went to Kent he is a DIE HARD Ohio State fan. He hates the Steelers though so I always wear Steelers stuff around him and he was telling my little boy Ben that he shouldn't like the Steelers and Ben was saying "Go Steelers!" LOL! He's already sticking to his guns!!!

that pretty cool about your young one. we had a guy that was a student trainer in my HS. he was a little older, but he ended up as the bengals trainer for years in the 80's. I wish I could remember his name. < a problem of the elderly. ok and maybe a little lost from college. LOL:facepalm:

Yeah now my uncle actually works for the Southern Baptist Convention and he travels around the country doing things to help churches in need but I think he still goes to reunions and stuff like that. He's actually a baptist preacher too and when my papaw died we both preached in his funeral and burial service and it's hilarious to see me standing beside him because he's like 6'5 and I'm like 5'4 on my tippy toes. LOL. He's a really nice dude though but I wouldn't wanna get on his bad side for sure. He might go to the game with us and he said he's gonna wear his Bungles gear and sit with me in my Steelers gear. I'm a chronic smack talker and with him there I'm gonna feel 10 feet tall and bulletproof. LOL. Just kidding.
