Yeah I agree with a lot here, but the whole ...people's love with mobility in a Qb drives me crazy. If a Qb has fast processing , and knows what He sees that is the Most Important thing in a Qb...Not Arm strength, and Mobility. Funny the rookie Qb with the least mobility, and what some considered the weakest arm is way out playing the others so far.
People will say because the league plays more college concepts so mobility is big. I will tell You they do that because the actual Guys that can play Qb are far and few between...
Compared 2 the Guy that can run fast, and kind of play Qb.

Yeah when I talk about mobility in regards to the Steelers I don't mean like Dobbs running or Lamar Jackson. I'm talking about the ability to take a center exchange drop back 3 to 7 steps and throw. Ben simply can't do the things he used to and almost is becoming a statue. At a certain point you need to be able to bend over get your hands under your center's butt and then be able to stand up and sling it to a wr whose defender gave him a 5 yard cushion. Funny last night Mahomes made one of the ugliest PA passes I've ever seen from a disguise point of view and the Raiders fell for it completely.

I'm not flip-flopping, I still think it's a dumb plan to loft prayers and hope for the best.

Can we not scheme guys open? Use the middle of the field?

We shuffle Offensive Coordinators every 3 seasons. Sometimes it has to be the next higher level. The buck stopping at Coordinators is not the remedy.

    No.

Philadelphia, Dallas, Washington D.C., Chicago, Boston, Houston, San Francisco and Los Angeles are what would be considered "Large Markets". Pittsburgh is not one. Realistically speaking, the market size by the NFL is determined by the 75 mile radius of the blackouts for Primary and Secondary blackouts.

All that being said and, regards to Russell Wilson, hard pass.

Ben would've beaten the Lions, Rudolph the guy you said would get the team a win , had too many bad passes.

nothing wrong with wanting to see a backup play against the worst team in the league. and had many chances to win but everybody failed.

but even they would have pulled out the win, it didn't seem like he has progressed much. was really hoping for more. and i know it's probably not an ideal scenario to find out late you are starting but sure seems the rest of the team didn't step up to help like they should have.

7 of the top 10 QBs this year are mobile QB’s.

I don’t think anyone that likes to have a mobile QB is saying they don’t want them to have any other good qualities.

If you were building your perfect QB and gave him all the qualities you listed, which are definitely the top qualities you want in your QB but then once you got to mobility you’d be like, naaa, lets make him slow and immobile. Of course you wouldn’t. At least I think you wouldn’t lol.

With Ben the Steelers are averaging 19 points. We put up 16 yesterday. Mason isn’t the answer and didn’t play well yesterday but we lost this game because our defense couldn’t tackle. We knew they were only able to run after seeing how pitiful Goff is and still got gashed.

I can not remember the last time the Steelers failed to win against what was universally recognized as the worst team in the league. Even Landry Jones cleaned up the 1-31 Cleveland team 2 years in a row.

Even the expansion 2002 Houston Texans finished 3rd from the bottom.
