Currently at 5-3 I think they need to go at least 5-4 the rest of the season. Their must wins are Browns, Bengals, and at least split with the Ravens.

I still feel 11-6, and I believe we split with the Ravens at least

5-4 might do it if we
5-4 might do it if we beat the AFCN teams (win Cle, Cin, split Bal like you mentioned). If we win those 3 and best a bad Miami team, then we’d only need to win 1 of the other 4 games (Bills, Chargers, Bears, and Lions).

Next week’s game is huge for us also. Beating the Chargers sets us up in the drivers seat for the home stretch. Lose that one and it starts putting “must win” premiums on a lot of games (Bears, Bengals, etc.

Need to split with Ravens, and for the Ravens to lose at least 1 additional game. I think the division will come down to the last game of the season.

This is the most unpredictable season that I have ever seen. The Packers have only lost 2 games and they are to the Browns and Panthers. The Bengals have only won one of their last 6 games and it was against us but we have beaten the two top seeds in the AFC. I don't have a clue what is going to happen from week to week. I'm just going to tune in every week and hope for the best.

    Chargers - Loss
    Bengals - Loss
    Bears - Loss
    Bills - Loss
    Ravens - Loss
    Dolphins - Win
    Lions - Loss
    Browns - Win
    Ravens - Loss

If this is anything like your "The Colts will beat us by 17" prediction, then I feel much better.

You’ve been sticking to your guns with this 11-6 finish. I’d be over the moon because it would all but give the division. I’m just not quite there yet. I think I said 9-8 to (a more likely) 10-7 earlier in the season. However, if they go into LA and win there next week, I could start believing in 11-6 as a real possibility.

I still say we win the division and get an easy wild card match up and win the wild card game.

Next year, we make the SB! Assuming Rogers comes back.

For the Steelers to win the AFC North... our defense needs to show up for games. I am convinced the 2025 Steelers can beat good teams as long as we get 4+ turnovers.

Have you seen our remaining schedule? If you think we’re somehow coming away from that with 6 more wins, I have a bridge I’d like to sell you. The Ravens alone will hand us 2 Ls. The Bills and Lions will throttle us. I say the Bengals will beat us with or without Burrows.

We were lucky that the Colts didn’t show up yesterday, but we shouldn’t expect that same luck to happen 6 more times.

Steelers will lose to 1 or 2 bottom feeders like Dolphins. Happens every year.

This Chargers game is huge and will likely determine if we have a shot at the playoffs and 10 wins or not.

They have 3 more easy games in Cincy Cleveland and Miami. Chicago is very average similar to us. The other 5 are all tough and we would need a huge turnover differential to win any of those like we did vs NE and Indy.

For me, yesterday's win was one of the more enjoyable of the season. Not interested in 'style points'. There is no column in the stats for 'blowout wins'. Got the W when virtually no one was believing they could (including me). Fingers crossed this is a turning point for the team. We'll find out shortly if what they did on defense is sustainable now that it is on tape. For this one game the coaches outcoached the other guys. Whether that was Austin or Tomlin I do not care.

[Glass half empty view; I posted elsewhere that the Steelers are averaging one three-game losing streak each season for the last five or so years. Bad news is that yesterday's win broke the streak at 2 games. This means they are headed for another streak of lost games yet to come (if history holds).]

Sure, but why stop the “what if” game there? If somehow we can beat the Bills by 4 touchdowns and then dominate 3 other teams in the postseason, maybe we have legit shot of going all the way this year. I’m surprised we don’t already have a Steelers Vs Eagles Super Bowl thread.

Beating the Chargers and making the Super Bowl are just a little bit different.

I think this means you'd be predicting the Rats go 6-2 or 7-1 and we win the tie, right? I think that's possible for them.

    Remaining games:
    • @ MIN
    • @ CLE
    • Jets
    • Bengals
    • Steelers
    • @ Bengals
    • Pats
    • @ Packers
    • @ Steelers
If we split with them, then they need one more loss if we get to 5 more wins.

Their schedule doesn't look too bad.

Packers are good. Pats too. Vikings aren't terrible, but aren't as good as many thought they'd be when we beat them. Wonder if Burrow would be back for either of their Bengals games?

I guess we'd be cheering for them to lose at least 3. They currently have a better division record (1-0) than we do (1-1). But lots of AFCN football left for both of us.

If we win the division, we'll probably be 4th. So we'd get the 5 seed.

If the playoffs started today, the WC teams would be
    • Bills (5th seed)
    • Chargers (6th seed)
    • Jags (edge out KC as the 7th seed)
    I wouldn't be super-excited about facing Buffalo.

I'd imagine that everyone thinks KC will end up making it. Maybe the Rats too.

I don't think there's going to be an easy WC team this year in the AFC.
