It's just ridiculous after four starts for people to write him off, just remember Trevor Lawrence was considered the best QB prospect since Andrew Luck, he's in his second year and is still struggling. Yeah, Pickett needs to cut down on the interceptions, but I will be more concerned if he's still doing it at the end of the season. It's nice to have a QB that can scramble, or run a QB sneak, no slight to Ben but he didn't do those things late in his career.

How anyone feels about Pickett doesn't really matter, he will and should get his rookie deal to prove himself.

Yes I agree it's ridiculous after 4 starts, but I'm also the one that finds it ridiculous when people crown Qbs as....awesome, or great on short frames of work also. Even one whole season is not enough IMO.

His rookie deal is 4 years

Are you giving him 4 years to prove himself as you stated

He's the least of our worries right now in my opinion.

This exactly. Address some of the other problems on this offense and Pickett's play will become more consistent. I am still really excited about Pickett. The kid is going to be good.

My worries with Kenny Pickett are no different than the worries I have regarding the dirt on my shoes; non existent. Typical ups and downs as a Rookie and nothing more from my perspective. How he will showcase himself in the second half of the season will be crucial.

Should his play deteriorate greatly by then, that is when there should be concern. Until then, one game at a time.

    Side Note:

I think it is high time I give @Blast Furnace, @Steel_Elvis, @mac daddyo and @KnoxVegasSteel all an apology. This is also time for me to humbly and wholefully admit one thing that must be said. Something that I should have said a while back.

I will never, ever call another QB "Transcendent" like that ever again; not a single time again. Not just today but moving forward. I grossly underestimated one critical aspect of Trevor Lawrence; all "can't miss" prospects doubly so... location. Where a player lands can make quite an impact early on.

Quite a small aspect for some but very crucial towards development no less. So again, to all those I have tagged....

Peyton Manning`s first year he led the NFL in interceptions and the Colts went 3-13.

Translation to complainers: SHUT UP about Kenny.

I do think (not saying Mendenhall exactly) some players once they get the money they never had before....well....they are satisfied, and only do enough to play. I believe He was a big time multiple instruments players....so maybe once He made a few million....that was enough for Him(of course I don't know this... just purely guessing), but I could see this happening.
After playing in a real physical sport all Your life, you all of a sudden are making millions, and yet it was never Your love....just something You were good at.

That might be true, but I'm already tired of the Steelers need to draft a QB next year talk .

If they keep putting him in a place to throw 50 times a game the into will be there.

I just do not have the confidence Canada can do anything different, or MT steps in and makes him do some thing different.

Well, they can't run the ball, and they're behind in most games.

Got to rebuild the QB room, so one has to possibly go.
Unless the money is ok keeping like it is.

Agree... If we are not OL early in this draft there is no help for them.

I prefer the Steelers focus on using the draft to build a stout o-line and a stout defense. Lets give Kenny all the opportunity to succeed before declaring him a bust and drafting another QB.

I think we will see a much improved Kenny Pickett as well as the rest of the team with a balanced running and passing attack. Give Warren the ball more and control the clock better. Give the D more rest and some turnovers may come. TJ Watt coming back will make a big difference. I would like to see a more vertical passing attack but with Canada still being the OC it might all just be hopeful and nothing more.
