Alway have a shotgun, or two as PART of home defense. You can wake up from a dead sleep, and still be effective with one. IMO

These are fixable things with some good coaching. I do think KP is being steered in the wrong direction in not being encouraged to go through progressions or not being directed to make the easier short pass.

we really don’t know what he is or isn’t being told so it’s just a guess on my part. But if these things are not being fixed or even being attempted by KP then gotta say it’s lack of coaching

Ok but he still only won 1 Superbowl after your time line even with some of the players I mentioned.Even Though the Steelers paid him over 1/4 of a billion dollars for his career.

I honestly don’t think that this is a good coaching staff. I don’t think Canada is an NFL level competent coordinator. I’m not betting on many of the rest of the offensive coaches either.

You yourself said in the off season that we started non starting level DB’s last season. So, you should be able to agree that there are lots of people in positions they aren’t qualified to be in.

    Almost frauds…

I can’t see Tomlin taking him over the coals on the sideline. However, tomlin did call him out in his weekly press conference

Well You are correct that I didn't like the DBs, but that's on GMs., and bad picks. I actually think the coaching is not that bad, it's better in some places than others, but I can point to that with every single team.

    Yes, he did.
I don't think Tomlin would do that on the sideline, but there would be some heated discussions.

Man this is trash, all QBs do the same things, it's just that it works out when the receivers make the play for them. I just watched Burrow throw into triple when he had guys open as well. Sometimes you don't see it. Sometimes it looks open, but there may be throwing lane issues where he's being coached not to throw through. We don't know what they're coaching him to do on his progressions either.
Last year they started throwing over the middle more towards the end of the year as well.

He's able to hit the slants, but they don't run them often enough. I don't understand how they're not running concepts that take advantage of the defense studying film. None of the concepts they run put defenders into any conflict with their eyes at all!

    I'll say this about that.
The loss to the Browns is on the entire team.
But to be more specific, it is on Kenny Pickett........................................ and the offense.

#1 on my list - The offense (read Canada and every player on offense) had no answer for the run blitz.
#2 I never want to see Mason Foster on the field again. Foster whiffed on blocks so many times he should be called Reggie Jackson (owns strikeout record). Go sign somebody off the street because they could at least get in the way of someone.
    #3 Sideline throws.
    a. If it's the QB, then bench him.
    b. If it's the offense, change it.
    c. If it's both, bench the QB and get rid of the OC.
#4 The offense literally did nothing, nada, zip and zilch. Save for Warren's electrifying run, despite Foster's standing around the water cooler.
#5 The Defense did its job getting the ball back, a pick and a stop, which the offense did nothing with. They simply broke on the last drive.

    Trash, I think not.
It was a horrible decision to stick with Canada. I'm not losing sleep over it, I know he's trash as does most of the NFL, especially Cleveland's DC.
Why oh why would anyone flirt with the notion that this guy Canada could turn it around is beyond me. So let's look at some bullet points.
    - Slants. Cleveland basically won the game on one of those. I'll look at All22 asap, but I have no slants noted. That's a good call against that type of defense.
    - Deep Middle. I don't really have anything noted on an attempt for moment. They really had no time to throw that slow developing route.
    - Misdirection/Motion. The concept is to make the Defense hesitate, second guess themselves. That give the offense an edge. They do motion but it seems to be standard protocol motions, moving a receiver around to see where the Safety goes.

In Washington, there is a good chance Ron Rivera gets the axe today (It will be a minor miracle if he survives - the new owner is unknown, but most think he will fire him). He lost again to probably the worst defense in the league and made a no-name terrible QB looked like Joe Montana against his defense.
Contrast that to Pittsburgh where I think Tomlin is still safe, no way should Matt Canada feel anything resembling 'safe.'
Both teams have viable options on staff. I would say there's blood in the water........

It's a bit long but the Steeler really need to look hard in the mirror.

I used to live in Dravosburg as a kid, went and caught carp everyday at River. My favorite hole was 5 mins walking from my house, behind sewage plant. Used to catch carp like crazy when it was still legal to use corn. No i didnt eat carp, catch n release.

They tried a slant to Pickens. It was deflected at the line.

Have fun Karl and be careful, you may end up snagging a Python out there in the glades. I live close to the glades and neighbors have spotted them in the lake behind my house.
