Although I was born&raised in NE Pa. I've never been to Pitt. Since my sons &I are coming up from ATL for Xmas...thought of awesome surprise gift to Pitt/Broncos game. Question is where to sit for best views of city, jumbo tron etc? Most likely in upper level. Also...I've been studying ticket patterns &usually prices get slashed closer to game...except this is Broncos game. What are my chances waiting to get tix when we get there under $150 ea? I've never had problem before...but really want to see home game instead of always away games. Thx!

    Welcome to the board!

Not sure when you are arriving. If it's a few days before the game etc. Go up Mount Washington and go up the incline. I suggest going up at night time. It's a great view of the city, one view that you won't get of many major cities in the country.
If you talking views of the city from inside Heinz field. They have really killed that with the new addition of new club seats in the south endzone.
You best views would be section 534-541 in the upper levels to see the city. You could also see the city in the club level sections but you will be way over your budget for tickets for those seats.

I would think you should be able to get upper level 500 level tickets for around $150, Face value on those tickets I believe is $85.00 now days.
So much depends on ticket costs. Weather, etc. Since you are traveling so far, I would try to get tickets before hand. But, there is no shortage of scalpers selling tickets!

    Have fun!!

How many do you need together? There will be ticket scalpers but I am just not sure how many you will get side by side.

Best views are probably on visiting side of the stadium. That way you can see both the larger end zone jumbotron and the smaller one in the corner of the other end zone. This will also give you a decent view of the skyline out of the (less) open end of the stadium. Truth be told though, the best views of the city are probably from the exit/entrance ramps. It's quite possible I would think to get tickets at that price threshold, particularly as the weather gets colder. Another tip, if you're in the 500 level, look for tickets that are higher than row L. Past there you can get some protection from the overhang if there's precipitation.

if you sit anywhere in the 500's section you will be look straight at jumbo screen and open end with the river. It high up, but there really is no bad seat.

Welcome to the board. You have come to the right place for the answers. Some of the most knowledgeable fans hang out here. I have been to Heinz a number of times and typically sit in the 100,200 section. Try to get as close to midfield as possible without paying a kings ransom. Home or Visitors sides the views are always pretty good with the exception of maybe the corner seating.. 500 area is good for Jumbotron but is viewable and looks good in most areas of the stadium.

With the higher levels you get to see the plays develop which can be advantageous. The beer is really good no matter where you sit lol.. I have never experienced prices dropping near the game.. You could take a chance and get some tickets from scalpers but I tend not to take that approach because it's riskier. There are tons of online venues to purchase tickets including tickets from the Ticket exchange at steelers.com however be advised pricing is pretty much the same across the board. At least that has been my experience.

Enjoy the game. The atmosphere is amazing regardless of where you are seated. The energy is infectious :)

Do the incline and take the clipper to the game if you want some nice views of the city/stadium. As far as seats personally I prefer in the 200 sections opposed to up top.

Thx...that's where I was confused. All the pics online show city view but not from what side. I don't care being on visitors side considering it's home. Heck...we saw them here in Atlanta last season and it was steeler nation all the way. If I wasn't in the some I would of thought I was in Pitt. Boy...pissed off all the local sports guys lmao!

I'm hoping with Xmas better seats will be available due to people going out of town.Foret the cold...we saw,Penn St last year and tailgates in -12 lol!

    Thx!

I should specify that the 500 section looks straight out to the open end of the stadium and jumbotron, BUT it faces slightly towards Mt. Washington and the Southside, but you are high up enough you can look to your left and see some buildings.

The Visitor side doesn't look out to the city side at all, not sure how well you see buildings from the Home side, as it is probably blocked by the visitor side of stadium if you are sitting lower?

Yes, parking at Station Square and taking the Clipper ferry over to the game is an awesome experience.

There are a ton of online ticket places. Stubhub.com has been good to me.. Have even bought from Ebay and never had any issues. Of course you have to buyers protection with Paypal regardless which site you choose.

Make sure to go to the Hall of Fame at Heinz and see all the cool exhibits. I've sat in Club seats at Heinz with indoor access and 26 rows up for like $175 a seat. So you should be able to get some good seats in your price range.

Yeah. It's right near the Duquesne Incline. They usually show the view of Pittsburgh from the incline during primetime Penguins or Steelers game. The Clipper is just a convenience thing but depends where you are staying. Nice view of the stadium and drops you right off at entrance A. Right thru entrance A on the right is where the SB trophies are on display, HOF, and sometimes live music or some activities. I'd also get as many people as you can for the # of tickets you have sign up for Steelers Nation Unite - http://www.steelersnationunite.com/register might be able to score a cool gameday experience like field passes or something.

    Welcome, Natalie!

Bring heavy winter-wear. It didn't snow where I live in Pennsylvania today, but I understand there was some snow in some areas. Better to be safe than sorry.

    http://www.stubhub.com/pittsburgh-s...2015/event/9298568/?ticket_id=1168407217&cb=1

These should meet most of your criteria...3 together....can see jumbotron (both)....can see field...under $150 each. Also being row EE you will be under cover and away from the elements.
Although you may prefer 200 levels, being at the one end of the stadium, the higher the better. The lower you go the harder it is to see the other side of the field. Im in 118 and I cannot see anything beyond the 30. Inside the 30 they're great though...
