Was the first professional football game you attended a Steelers game or another game? The first NFL game I ever attended was actually the one I’ve posted here. Joe Montana and the Chiefs against Jeff George and the Falcons. Joe Cool was on the money that night throwing for over 360 yards and 3 TDs.

Fun story about that night. I was there for a business conference and a few of us went to the game and after the game, a work colleague and friend of mine and I ran into Jeff Blauser who was the Atlanta Braves shortstop at the time. We all three actually ended up in the same cab headed back to our hotel. When we got out to pay our cab fare, Blauser told us that he’d cover it and we went on our way. He was a pretty cool dude.

I've only seen the Steelers play live 5 times.
Twice against the Chiefs...Once against the Oilers...once against the Titans, and once against the Cowboys.
I've seen the Bears once in preseason against....I can't remember...LoL
Although I have not missed a Steelers game on TV since 1997 the 1st year I got NFL Sunday Ticket. The same Year We got screwed on the coin flip against the Lions on Thanksgiving.

I’ve seen two Steelers games in person. One against the Panthers and the other against the Browns. They won both games. Both games were in December and game time temps in the first game was 23 degrees and 11 degrees the second game. My wife was regretting not marrying a Miami Dolphins fan, lol.

I had to look it up, but I know it was the playoffs Steelers at Raiders in the early 80's. My main memory are the Raider fans sitting behind me spilling bear on me. Was only 12 at the time so guessing it wasn't on purpose, but just remember how rowdy everyone one and people talking/yelling at me while in Steeler gear. :) I was pretty intimidated.

So it was probably this one.

Oh and probably at least 6 Steeler games? All away and in California. At least two or maybe 3 in the LA Coliseum, 2 I think in San Diego, then in that small stadium here when the Chargers moved back to LA.

And can't remember if I ever went to Anaheim to see them play the Rams.

My 1st game was the eagles vs i cant remember when i was a kid and it was the year mcnabb was drafted. A friends dad brought us. I do remember batteries being thrown and them screaming andy reid u fat bastard put mcnabb in.

My 1st steelers game was the year they lost to the jets in the reg season which i was at and then they beat the jets in the afc champ. Forget the TE without looking it up but he dropped a game winning td and I believe the jets ran the opening kickoff back for a td. That was amazing to see in person as i was upper deck on endzone u can see the city. You could see the whole play open up and he was never touched.

Ive been to a game a year since 2010 season besides 2018 when i had tix but couldnt go due to fam emergency.

Im brining my kids to their 1st game this year and im very excited. Going to a preseason gm. Theyre only 7 and figured we'd start with a preseason gm.

Vikings vs Chiefs in Minnesota on December 26th, 1993(had to look that up). The Joe Montana led Chiefs got beat 30-10. It was so f'n cold outside that my B!tchin' '84 Berlinetta Camaro damn near froze up entirely. Minnesota in the dead of winter can piss right off.

November 1966 St.Louis Cardinals against the Bill Austin Steelers at Pitt Stadium. The Steelers won with 2 big plays a blocked punt returned for a TD by Andy Russell and a long HB option pass from Dick Hoak to Roy Jefferson.

    Steelers vs LA Raiders

    Steelers 21 LA Raiders 3

    Mike Tomczak the winning QB

Most memorable part was all the fights in the stadium and the number of police officers standing in each aisle. Had my life threatened numerous times as I was leaving the stadium after the game.

    Ah. Raiders Nation. Typical behavior.

I went and saw the Steelers in Detroit back in 89 and saw three Steelers fans get a major beatdown by 20 or more Lions fans as time ran out on a Steelers 23-3 victory. Me and my buddy sat there and watched it unfold and watched a couple police officers do nothing about it.

November 19th, 1978, at TRS versus the Bengals. A 4 o'clock, NBC nationally televised game. Best as I remember, it was with my dad, 4-6 of his co-workers and a couple of my uncles. I was able to experience the tailgating and the comradery firsthand as a 14-year-old. I ate it up, loved every second of it. It was at that game that I started to realize what this team meant to the city of Pittsburgh and its fans. A great time to be a kid, for sure.

The Steelers won 7-6. Late in the game, the Bengals were driving. Mike Wagner came at Kenny Anderson with a safety blitz from his blind side. Kenny never saw him. As Mike was prone to do, he hit Anderson like a freight train. Anderson fumbled and the Steelers recovered, sealing the win. I seriously thought Wagner killed Kenny, lol.

Most of the fights were Raiders on Raiders fans. They can't even get along with each other much less the opposing fans.

I remember the first Steelers game I attended quite well.

The Browns beat the Steelers 51 to 0 at Three Rivers.

2005 or 06 MNF Game in Jacksonville vs the Jags. We lost something like 9-0. Was super drunk and missed the Tuesday morning 0600 muster. I had to paint the torpedo magazine for punishment. Your taxpayer dollas went really well those 16h.

    1989…remember that game well.

They lost to the Bengals 41-10 the next week but rebounded and actually made the playoffs that season. Many think that may have been Noll’s finest coaching job.
