I have an Insta-Pot and it confounds me. It was a gift and while deep and well built, not much surface area on the grates for steaks, ribs, chops etc. I'm assuming you baked the ribs in the pot first and then plopped them on that grill you show to caramelize/brown? Did 1 hour create fall off the bone texture? Inquiring minds want to know since right now this appliance just collects dust on my kitchen rack. The included and online instructions are very disjointed, inconsistent and goofy (to me) to follow. I improvise a lot with my cooking and grilling but this device is a mystery. Obviously I'm not alone as I read recently that the parent company is now BK.

    This is for you:
    1) trim off your ribs, the cartilage, cut ribs in half
    2) i put 3 cups of apple juice and 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar in instant pot
    3) put whatever rub you want on your ribs, put them in instant pot, i leaned them up against pot with meaty side of ribs facing center of pot
    4) close vent, start pressure cooker and cook for 32 minutes
    5) when done let naturally vent for 5 minutes, than release pressure
    6) while ribs were cooking you need to put oven on broil
    7) take ribs out of instant pot, be careful as they are very tender, also the ribs look like an ugly ducking. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil, put ribs on it. Slather with your favorite bbq sauce on both sides.
    8) put in oven for 4-5 minutes, flip, add some more bbq sauce if you like, cook other side for 4-5 minutes. Just keep looking in oven to get the caramelization you prefer.
    9) pull out oven and let rest for 5 minutes before cutting . Bon appetite!

Excellent - thank you SP65. I forgot about the pressure cooker feature since it's been a while since I tried using it and now do remember some tasty pork chops using that feature. I wanted to use it for steaks during winter (yes we do have winters and snow in the Sierra region of California) but would have to cook 1 at a time do to my preferred T-Bone/Ribeye size on the very limited grill area. Thought about double decking it which is OK for air frying but not so much with steaks where you want a more refined level of doneness.

I never come to this section. That looks amazing!!!! You should have put it in the Watercooler section. I'd have probably gave it a try. Alas we are no longer grill owners.
