I translate this as "Well...if Harbaugh is available....then let's go get him..."

I'm surprised by this. He lost Hill for the season, and Achane had arguably his best overall season yet.

I don't subscribe to the Tomlin's ego theory, either. I just don't think he does well with picking coordinators. I could see it a product of both, with Tomlin restricting himself to less expensive candidates rather than challenging ownership with the notion that they need to make more of an investment.

Playoffs, two years ago (three?) against Cincy. Tush push at goal line, Jackson fumbles, 99 yd fumble return for a td.
Or, how's this one which hits closer to home- hand off to Bettis at the goal line, fumbles, Ben makes a shoestring tackle to save a td. Fortunately for us, Colts kicker shanks the kick.
There are no sure fire plays in football. Harbaugh took the odds, with a kicker who had not missed from inside the 50 all year. And two or three or five yards wouldn't have made a difference on that kick.

The Titans have requested an interview with Arthur Smith for their HC position.

I credit that to the entire Ravens staff both front office and coaching. They looked at Jackson and said ok we are going to create an offense where an athletic QB can run RPO and have it work. They did a lot of 3 TE looks where it was easy he could hand it off, run himself or dump it to a tight end. Once teams got smart about defending the RPO he began to struggle and that's when they tried to make him a pocket passer. Contrast that with the Steelers who take square pegs and try to make them fit in round holes. First part of his career Jackson was put in the best situation to succeed.

Not to defend Harbaugh but did you watch some of those games?

I’ve seen Andrews drop a 2pt conversion in Buffalo.

I watched Flowers fumble at the GL vs KC.

I watched Huntley fumble at the GL vs the Bengals.

I just watched the FG kicker miss a 44 yarder.

I know all of these weren’t games they were up by 10 and loss but the game is the game.

That was Huntley.. but I get your point.

He tried to dive from the 4 yarder line.

He's a far better OC than HC. Seriously, did you hear him stumbling through that presser a while back? You can't command a room of 53 men to excellence sounding like that.

btw, I'd take McDaniel over Smith in a heartbeat.

First part of his career LJ was a lousy passer. That is why the Ravens ran the option.

I would have gambled on Henry and bank on him not fumbling again over adding yards to a rookie kicker in a high stakes game.

Blown leads and a lack of late-game execution, particularly in big games, had become too commonplace under Harbaugh. There were still too many instances where the Ravens got away from their identity in big spots. And yes, the Ravens have developed a reputation for being underachievers.

But it worked until it didn't. Lots of teams would have forced him into a pocket passer from day 1 instead of crafting their offense around what he does well.

Unfortunate for Harbaugh but man… he has had way more success than Tomlin these last 9 years.

I really wonder what happens if they make that FG.

Another OC/HC that I was told just 3 years ago to look at how he turned that team around. LoL
Stop crowning, and downing people so quickly.
    Let it play out

McDaniel saw an opportunity to get away from Tua and took it. He's a weird dude, but I think he is one of the more innovative offensive minds out there. I do not want to see him in our division and especially not in Baltimore.

If he had a qb who had half a brain I think his offense could be dangerous
