Gilbride was 2 seasons. Should have gone after going 6-10 though.

Bet Chuck Noll would be turning over in his grave if he knew how the talent on this team is wasted. But on the other hand that talent needs to have motivation and that comes from the coaching staff and a inside motivation from the players themselves.

amazes me how many on this board gave Tomlin props earlier in the season for "not letting the team fall apart" only to now want him gone for "letting the team fall apart".

Tomlin is good, we just lack certain things to get over the hump. Aside from bill there’s nobody else I would take.

I would replace cuckold Haley and al bundy butler

Yep, he's fine. And for that you get some fine seasons and early post season exits.

Tomlin is not getting fired BUT he should be IMO. And yes my first phone call is to Bill Cowher. After Bill laughs in my face and says "NO thank you! I'm happy collecting a paycheck for 2 days of work per week!!!" .. I then offer the job to Munchak. I give the OC job to Ben's QB coach and I give Butler 1 more season but with a new Dline coach. I likely hire an assistant HC with a defensive skill set as well that is essentially a Quality control person to assist in getting rid of the sloppiness and poor attention to detail that we have seen here in the last 10 years. Let Munchak bring in a couple people he likes if that's the case.

Then I tell the FO to get me a NT who can hold his ground... I want a veteran who can ball now. Use the draft to replace Mitchell and Shazier. Find depth anyway possible at OLB, ILB, safety, etc.

His teams repeated cluster ****s like yesterday are too commonplace to be dismissed. That and his players not focusing on the task at hand are problems that are contributing to this teams failure to get over the hump.

Im on the fence on whether he should be replaced. Yesterdays loss may have pushed me to the other side.

I think hes a good coach but maybe they can do better. Thats pretty much where Im at.

Dan Patrick had on some former lineman named Tucker who was at the game reporting for someone.
He said we have a HOF QB.The best RB and WR in the league and the best Offensive line.
Like someone pointed out, All this talent is being wasted by Tomlin's poor coaching.
Fire Tomlin, Butler ,Haley and that gum chewing midget danny smith.
Another disappointing ending to the season.

I honestly don't see them replacing him until Ben is gone. If you do it now, chances are by the time the new HC installs his guys and it starts to pay off, Ben will be gone any how. That isn't to say that it is impossible to win now with someone else but it is hard to have immediate success with a new group.

Munchak had his shot and was not very good. He is a great OL coach but as head coach he would be a living example of the Peter Principle.
