FIRE JOE PHILBIN IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

The point of this thread was not to be humorous. Rather the point is to show the ridiculousness of the latest contingent of fans who are advocating the replacing of Dick LeBeau.

Filbin is a damn fine coordinator who lost to a team that plaeyd a hell of a game. It happens. Overall the man is doing a good job as evidenced by GBs record and performance offensively over the past few years.
Some got it, some didn't. Oh well. But there is nothing insensitive about what was written, even if I actually did care about Green Bay.

 

Yes, Philbin fumbled the ball 4 times and dropped 7 passes. The blame is all on him. Like I always say easier to blame 3 coaches than 53 players.

I know exactly what you're saying. No we never stop learning but that learning is only going to go as far as your mental and physical talents permit when putting that learning to execution. By your logic every pro bowler could bowl a perfect game every time if he just had the right coach or every Corp. employee could be CEO if they just had the right mentor. I don't think so. You think Ben like Rogers or any other QB aren't coached to protect the football, aren't coached to stop holding the ball too long or don't give up the sack if it's gonna put you out of FG range ? Of course they are. That stuff has been drilled in to their skulls since they were little kids and yet at times yesterday the giants made Rogers look like he forgot some of those very basic things he's been coached all those years. Of course coaching is not meaningless and there are still new things that are taught and old things that need to be reminded but at the end of the day it's how the players put all that knowledge and info in to practice by executing on the field. The fact is that unless we're right in that locker room with 1st hand knowledge of what's being coached or not coached none of us can say with any real certainty how many of the problems are coaching versus the player's ability to grasp and execute what's being coached even though some of us think we have it all figured out

 

Understand. As with anything else there are some exceptions. I still feel that generally the players make the coaches versus the other way around.

 

You seriously think coaches are responsible no matter what? Players deserve no accountability? 8 drops and 3 fumbles, it's the OC's fault? Take those away or even just replace them with a reasonable amount (2 drops, 1 fumble), and they might well win.

 

Philbin doesn't call the plays McCarthy does.

 

Philbin is on the Bucs list to interview for the HC position and Carmichael the Saints OC is on the Raiders list. I wonder how many teams are lining up to interview our Brucey...afterall we did go 12-4, had a 4000 yard passer and 2 1000 yard receivers
