Funny how Ike can go from a shutdown corner, to a has-been, in a season...
We never expect him to actually make an interception...
    Just knock the ball away.
If he gets it, that`s a bonus... He ain`t Troy... We need ball hawks!!!
Maybe, Just maybe, if we start getting to the qb, on a regular basis again, Ike`s job would be easier?
    Just Sayin...(I Miss Blitzburgh..)
    GO STEELERS!

yep, gotta agree there bleed. I think the 3-4 we had that took us to SB's though is going to be a shell of itself though. DL has a new formula I think he's liking to work with. this hybrid 3-4 is going to be used more, because they keep changing the rules for US. the old standard Okie is fading for a faster version. pretty pumped about it too.

daddy-o take a look at "Draft Breakdown". Those actual filmclips will make you wonder what in the world Lake saw in this dude. He shows me absolutely NOTHING. He holds the receivers, will not tackle anybody....ang when he finally decides to try to tackle, he either just half way tries to knock them down, he just jumps at them with a weak attempt and just rolls. He will not support against the run, or will just run down the field about 10 yards away from the runner or just slaps at him as he goes by. Once in a blue moon, he might attempt to throw some one down with a shoulder tackle and usually gets thrown off. I truly hate to say it, but, Richardson shows me nothing. He's pitiful in my opinion, and it really hurts me to see this team rely on a player like this.

he's got a lot of good footage out there too. as I said he'll need time for lake to work with him. he probably won't see a ton of the field this year. yes he has things to work on too. all of them do. if he doesn't tackle he won't play, but I don't think that will be the case hopefully. he's got talent to work with.

My biggest concern is we're gonna get ourselves in another Keenan Lewis situation with Cortez Allen. If he plays well, we won't be able to keep him and if he doesn't we won't want to. After this season we could well have no starting corners.

Ok...that is my only hope for Ike this year. Actually my two hopes. One, we manage to get to the QB this year which will definitely make our DBs lives easier. Two, he isnt covering the other teams #1. I still have hope for Allen as well.

It was directed at Ike starting again, hopefully he plays better in his last season.

I sure hope you're right, Daddy-o. I'll guess we'll know for sure when he finally gets to hit the field. I can't help but feel like his first chore is going to be learning how to tackle correctly. He definately won't have a chance making our "D" without getting some old fashioned "slobber knockers' echoing out on that field. Like you said, if he doesn't show a big improvement, Lake will never let him out there! Here's hoping for the best.
