I feel like I'm going to have to cheer for Aaron Rodgers. That's going to make me sad. Lol

Bottom line, Tomlin didn’t believe in him or he’d be back here, 20 million is a bargain if you think hes the guy.

But after watching him for 6 games and the offense looking a lot like it did under Pickett (which Tomlin bears some responsibility for) he probably had seen enough.

Hope Fields succeeds though, seems like a good guy. Has his work cut out for him with the Jets! Ooff.

Fields does seem like a nice guy…but unfortunately that doesn’t make you a franchise qb

Damn good money for a back-up. I didn't want neither QB's going into 2025 but I wanted Fields over Wilson. Well, if it's Wilson I hope he gets time to find our receivers.

Please get lucky in the draft!!!!!

Which is why the Steelers are going to not be a contender until Tomlin's contract is up.

I was for signing Fields as a stopgap but was not a believer in him. He is athletic but not a great passer and is a one-read guy like Wilson. They are bottom tier QB's in the AFC.

I am not keen on Rogers either as our O-Line is not good enough. Our running game is dependent on the downfield passing game, which DJ helps.

The Steelers need to draft a QB every year until they find one, even if the lower rounds, as even if they don't work out, those can be flipped as trade assets.

This team is not a contender in the AFC right now. The Steelers are just not good enough on offense and likely won't be until they get a new head coach.

It’s going to be Rodgers. Likely followed by a QB pick in the draft. Dart in the 1st wouldn’t surprise me if they do sign Rodgers.

If it's Rodgers I'm going to have a hard time. I constantly root to see him knocked on his ass.

Going to have to have a veteran under center going into camp.
It might well be a 41-yeard old Rogers.
But my money is on Wilson since he didn't go to the Raiders.
    Still, old.
So I would hope they are lining up to make a run at Dart.

No the Jets changed the whole coaching staff and GM and have drafted well over the last few years so at least they are trying to change that’s more than I can say for the Steelers. They signed a young qb to a two year deal and if it doesn’t work they can get out after one but at least they are trying to find a franchise qb. Tomlin isn’t as they might have to learn for a year and he might have a losing year so just keep doing what they do and you will get the same results you been getting blown out in the wildcard round if you make it in.

Not so sure about can't miss, but some guys to watch next season are Arch Manning TX, Nussmeir LSU, Sellers from SC, Nico UT. That's just SEC, there are other guys to watch like Beck and Klubnik. Obviously, there's no crystal ball and I'm not real high on this years QBs but I like Cam Ward and Jaxson Dart. Beyond that, someone will reach for Sanders because of his name. Projects and career backups after that, IMO.

So we are going from a 35 yr old to a 41 yr old QB that can't run behind this OL..
It's going to be a long long long up coming season

The Raiders are releasing Gardner Minshew, he is probably just as good as anyone else still available.

You do realize the Steelers could have exercised his option for just $25M, but didn't. $20-25M is a huge overpay for an average QB.
Some fans seem to forget how badly he struggled in his last two games, completing <60% of his passes for <200 yards. It's the reason Tomlin felt comfortable making the change.

I'd rather have Fields than Russ, Aaron or Darnold, but that didn't mean I wanted Fields.
