With this OL, Fields was the only one who could escape without getting killed. Now we'll get Wilson or Rodgers. Damn.

    They’re going to sign Rodger’s aren’t they!

Good for Justin though, $30m guaranteed. Life changing money.

He didn’t get much either. This is the downside of playing musical chairs at QB.

What a plan, let slip a 26 year old with at least some upside left and can run, for a 40 year old who moves as well as Grandpa Simpson at this point and is washed.

I’d have to think the Steelers would have offered a similar deal. I’m guessing he did not like being pulled for Wilson. Can’t blame the guy. Tomlin does not do well with QBs.

I’m at the point where I think if the Steelers want to develop another young QB, then they need to move on from Tomlin. He just doesn’t have the patience to develop one.

If he would have Signed with the Steelers for that I think most here would stare at the screen and say WTF, think its an overpay, but the market is weak and he gets a bad and opportunity.

Sorry to see him go and wish him good luck. He definitely has an upside and I was curious to see how he developed.

Maybe we can move Frazier from under center to the starting qb position?!

Ding Dong the Gimmicks gone... Rodgers or Jones now. They will draft a QB this year and I hope its Dart.

Every one wants to wait till next years crop of QB's. Besides Manning who really is only living on his name and has not put a full season starting yet.

Please give a list of these can't miss QB's coming out in 2026.

Fields couldn't consistently throw a 10 yard out pattern.. I'm not sure what the big loss is here. His escape ability was great, but in this league, you've got to be able to throw the ball accurately. The running QBs in this league who succeed can all throw the ball on a dime.

It’s not patience it’s omg I might lose my never had a losing season so put a veteran in there and never ever develop a franchise QB. Anybody happy about picking up the Jets scraps shows just how far the once great Steelers franchise has fallen.

One of the threads listed by name a bunch of the quarterbacks that will be in next year's class. There was something like 6 to 8 names on it that were supposedly really good. Can't remember any of the names and I don't follow college, but I remember seeing the thread.

I tend to agree. I loved what he could do on the ground and wouldn’t have hated re-signing him as a bridge but he is probably never going to be what they need. Just too inconsistent as a passer
