I think with the times,Fields can be much better....They were just very conversative in week 1 and he had not a full week of practice with the starters....We will see with the times I guess

With a full week of practice for Fields,I hope they will open the playbook more this time!

I'm all for the kid....I hope He grows, but He has to stop dropping His eyes, and people talking about not throwing to the middle of the field . On quick counts I found 3 times that there were wide open in the middle of the field plays., and .that's just the wide open ones.....that's nit counting the one that went there that weren't open. You can send guy to the middle of the field all day long, and if they aren't seen , or thrown to .....it matters not at all.
If I knew how I would show You.

I disliked him in Chicago, and I did not even think he was all that in the draft.
    Marino was a fireplug.
    Elway could run.
    I like both...
I like Josh Allen and I am liking the QB Washington has - Daniels.

I don't like either of our QB's but as long as they win, well, I can just be wrong.

All I can say is I hope so. I don't hate the kid like many say I do. I actually like Him. I just don't like the play at Qb as he is right now. Those are two different things. I would love for that to be different. Nothing would be better than Him to turn out to be our franchise Qb, and we could spend drafts at other positions. But He must learn to read a field quicker, and better. Hell.....people actually think we were not throwing into the middle of the field on purpose.....when just our very 1st 3rd down will show You its not true. No You can't throw if You take off running instead.

I think Fields does well if his first read is open enough for him to throw to. He seems to hit the first read passes better than last years set of QBs.

If the first read isn't there, then who knows, but luckily Steelers ran so much and played such good D that the first reads seem to be there.

Let’s see if he can build on what he did last week. He’s getting a golden opportunity, hope he runs with it. (See what I did there).

I'm sure Russ would've loved to have gotten the opportunity to get some revenge against his former team, but no sense rushing him back if he's not 100%

I'm a fields critic.... but he made 3 excellent throws downfield to Pickens. But, but, but.... he doesn't throw between the hashes.

It's getting increasingly harder to believe people watch games. The rhetoric and belief people pick up from I don't know where. The more people talk falsehoods the more it gets believed. There is a youtube video of Fields throwing downfield .. 6 minutes worth but some fans would have you believe he cannot throw downfield.

There's got to be video clips out there showing this right? Did you go back and watch the broadcast and find them there? Or are you simply going off of what you saw live and by memory?

It seems to me that the discussion about Fields and the discussion about the Steelers less than stellar receiving core are separate conversations. Doesn't one directly contribute to the other? Doesn't Fields get even a little bit of a pass dealing with the lack of weapons?

Let me guess though, someone will try and make the statement he has plenty of weapons to throw to, yet in another thread comment about how the receiving core is Pickens and a bunch of hacks.

Fans can complain all they want about Fields, but look at Green Bay having to play Malik Willis as their backup QB.

Fields made his mistakes vs the Falcons. He also made some plays. On pretty much a days notice that he was starting, or that he may start, I'll take what he was able to give. Good job, Fields!

He was a hell of a lot better than Mason or Kenny that is for sure.

Yes there are. I've said a few times.....look no farther than our very 1st 3rd down ....., and instead of throwing it He takes off running.
