:nea:Okay, fine, Randy Fichtner is the new OC. Whoopee!

But I'm going to seriously snap if we don't make some defensive coaching changes. There is no way Joey Porter and Carnell Lake should be on this coaching staff next season! And Keith Butler needs to be on a short leash! No excuse for giving up 38 points to the Jaguars! :frustrated:

True. I remember you and I discussing him when he was up for it the first time. I think I was in favor of Kirby for in house and Norv Turner and Hue Jackson from outside.

That guy who's about to make some Boston contractor's dog sitter's quarterback's life a nightmare.

Hoe hum was hoping Munch got the job but I think we all knew Fitch was the man. As long as we score point I don't care, we have a 2-3 year window left and if this helps Ben I am down with it.

And that’s why people are calling for Tomlin’s job.

So the Steelers take a pass on extending the Rooney rule down a layer of management/coaching. Interesting.

What has John done lately for the Steelers other than field a faux all-pro, Cam, and new big contract failure, Tuitt, and a Big Butt slacker and the really big failed experiment in SIZE? Alualu was was above the line. Hell, anyone was above the Steelers D-line. The Steelers love to hype their talent but if it does not produce you really don't have any talent. The only coach who produce above the line is Richard Mann and he is retiring. I think childish antics of Brown and the Bryant wore on him.

I’m thinking if anyone was born to coach a college team it is Haley . He belongs on a college campus working closely with young coeds.

I understood what you typed; I was just ranting about him and then went tangential.

Munchack to stay says a lot, and him and fitchner should continue to work well together. Maybe they will share play calls . ;)

This is what Ben wanted. At this point in Ben's career I'm all for giving Ben a chance to do it his way. I just hope Fitchner is able protect Ben from himself when he needs to.

What exactly was the big rush here? Quickly replacing a guy from within is something you do during the season, not after it. It's not like some other team was going to snatch Fitch ner up. This smacks of knee-jerk promotion just because "it was his turn"

I wonder what the Player Engagement Coordinator does? Sounds like a precursory wedding planner.

There is no off season for the coaching staff you have so much evaluation to do on draft picks and fa's. If there is going to be a change in playbook or language that needs to be put into place for everyone. Lots to do and need everyone in place....

I remember early in the season when BB was struggling and Fichtner was getting roasted around here.
