Probably our best FA aquisition ever, good luck Potsie you were the
true professional, always came into camp in excellent shape(Can you hear Lamaar)
and performed to the best of your ability.Very productive career.

Not a surprising move (though not clear on why he has to talk to the Steelers about it?), but I echo the sentiments of Wardismvp. A solid professional who marshalled our defense fantastically - he deserves a Heinz Field send off and some.

I think he's talking with the Steelers because he's not under contract with the team so I'm guessing he's gonna sign a 1 day contract of some sort and officially retire as a Steeler.

This...and didnt he have some time left on his contract when they cut him? Maybe it has to do with the money they still owe him or something also.

Just going back the last 20 years, I'd say the Bus was our best FA pick up. Farrior was a damn good pick up too. My best friend is a Jet fan, kills him to see how good Farrior became.

We traded for the Bus, he wasn't a free agent. But your point is the same. For players that the Steelers didn't draft, they are definately the cream of the crop.
