signs you’re too sensitive and in too deep over a player when you can’t laugh at a joke.

And I can envision a scenario where Mason never sets foot on the field for a bad titans team and Wilson and Pickett, freed from the disaster that was Matt Canada, win the division and make it to the AFC championship game. See how easy that is?

According to his fans he was going to be in demand and a starting QB.

Better market than last offseason doesn’t equate to a good one.

Mason is gone. Kenny is still here. Russ is our starter.

It’s no secret that I’ve been a Mason supporter, but at this point the discussion has become…

And I can envision a scenario where you learn how to interpret sarcasm without green font.

    See how easy that is?

I know he settled for a cheap, one-year deal. That tells us the offers were limited at best. I would guess as to why you were unable to figure that out, but I'll leave the lame ad hominem arguments to you.

I didn't say much about how Rudolph would perform before the game against the Bengals. I thought it was a move they had to make because Trubisky had been horrible and Pickett was still out. Happily, he was able to take advantage of a defense that was in shambles despite missing three or four guys who were open deep. A week later, the running backs carried the team. Your delusions don't prove anybody wrong.

Sitting behind the guy the Titans think is their long-term guy is perfect for him? You're funny.

Exactly. No team wanted him as a starter. No team wanted him coming in to compete for a starting job. He got a salary that is low for a backup quarterback be a veteran backup to Levis.

Key words are “recent performances”. Yes Darnold has 63 TDs, but most were early in his career. In the last 4 years, he has thrown 27 TDs with 28 ints. Watching him and Rudolph recently, it’s fair to say Rudolph has more poise. Both may be no more than career backups, but I was expecting Rudolph to get a bit more than what he got

Did their new coach Callahan say anywhere that Levi is entrenched as a starter? If he performs to the same level as last year, you can bet he will be yanked even if he is the starter. Levi is only marginally better than Pickett. You don’t win consistently in the league if you Qb rating is in low to mid eighties. You can bet Callahan turns to Rudolph if Levi shows no improvement from last year. This is why it’s the best situation for Rudolph. Certainly much better than stuck behind entrenched starter like Kirk Cousins or Josh Allen if your goal is to be a starter in the league. This is simple logic and I am not surprised you don’t understand it.

So you know that for a fact??? Stop before you tell anymore tall tales. You, and I know nothing about the exact how's, and why's either signed for only one year. Don't pretend like You do. All we know for a fact is they both signed for one year. The rest is guessing, and hearsay.

Let's not get into what other teams think. We just signed a Qb that two other teams paid to leave, and a bunch of other teams wanted no part of. So let's hope that teams are wrong.

Wilson is an upgrade in my opinion. Is he the long term answer? Probably not, but I think he provides a little security at the position while we figure out if Pickett is the answer or not.

It is a 3x raise for him though. You can live very well and never work again on that unless you have to be flashy.

How are we going to know if Pickett is the answer if he’s sitting on the bench behind old man River?

Is he? We don’t really know yet.
Either way Wilson gives us an upgrade over what we had before and another year to figure it out if needed.

There is no way in hell Russ is sitting the bench in this scenario. Maybe if he is playing poorly after several games.

Logic say you’re right and I tend to agree, but you’re forgetting the Tomlin factor. This guy tends to outsmart himself in these situations. Although he kinda broke his own mold by sticking with Mason last year.

That tie was with Canada as the OC. the 2019 season he really had no OC. It was Randy Fichtner who was basically a figure head to let Ben do whatever he wanted. While he played without Canada the last few games of the season it was still the same offensive scheme that Mitch and Kenny failed under.
