I think that is from Fichtner's avatar you had and when you borrowed his headset.

Yeah, that’s what I read too but have only seen cases tied to J&J, between that and the blood clotting, I’ll take one of the other vaccines. Moderna and Pfizer are MRNA based vaccines, not vector like J&J, maybe that’s why I haven’t seen any mention of those two tied to tinnitus. Have you seen anyone claiming to have taken those 2 vaccines complaining of tinnitus?

I had my 1st shot of Pfizer a week ago Thursday Blast, like I said already have tinnitus so I wouldn't know if I did have it increase. I did have 3 days of just every side effect they mentioned in the info hand out. Still have a bit of a headache but the chills fever aches and the rest are going away.

yeah man all of em. On a FB group and didn’t even have to scroll far. Keep in mind it’s rare, I happen to get nasty side effects from regular meds too just FYI lol. 5B109476-70C0-436C-B837-5FDF8A5604F8.png 42C7CBAD-E949-4494-919C-F3C2F00DBEDA.png

My brain habituated to my original tinnitus after many years. Your brain will sound the alarms if new sounds come in. It woke me up at 2am very loud screeching dog whistle lol.

I'll will monitor it. I had to take my daughter into the clinic yesterday for sore throat and fever and the doctor asked if I was concerned about Covid-19. I said no I had a moderate bout of it the beginning of March and knew getting the 1st shot would probably be bad reaction but the kids both had it and Emma had the least severe of the family so I was more worried it was strep again. The doctor was looking down her throat and goes you don't have your tonsils do you? I had to suppress a laugh because that's all in her records. Spends 2 minutes looking for her tonsils lol

If you’ve had covid you’re probably ok with the shot. Wouldn’t stress it

In all seriousness BBH, I have worked in a gymnasium for the past 38 years, so I have tinnitus as well. Sometimes the best thing is white noise like ceiling fan running.

I got both Phizer. No reaction. Just peace of mind.

Someone suggested it might be blood type related? I’m O positive. I’ve sampled a relatively small number of associates O positives were ok. The ones who had a reaction were otherwise. Very small sample group.

Why wouldn’t you know if it increases?

That’s the part that concerns me, that it will get much louder. You’d definitely notice.

I can’t really take anything on FB seriously. That’s why I asked you what vaccine you got. The research I did only connected it to J&J and you confirmed that.

I’ll keep digging into it. Thanks for your input.

Many others on tinnitustalk.com giving their experiences as well. It’s all a crapshoot anyways. Be comfortable with what you do and live with that decision. I think you’ll be fine

Mine seems to not be as apparent when I have headphones on or the TV something that draws the focus away. So it possible if it increased I'd notice but I typically only start being bothered when it's quiet like reading before bed or ear plugs in at work.

O+ here as well. Had the bug in Jan, had the shots in April. Only issue is taste and smell still not back 100% since Jan. This is especially horrible because I can't enjoy my beer as before. My wife says I should get the cheap beer if I can't taste it buy psychologically, that would devastating.
