You think the Steelers will allow fans back in September and if so how many?

Unless something catastrophic happens, we should be back to normal by end of Summer. I think our vaccination rate has surpassed 1 million/day. Maybe they make you show your vaccination proof at the gate.

More than likely; doubly so if the vaccination rate is even higher by the time we hit March. June though is still my target month for this disease to be over and done with.

If we hear little to nothing about it from June onward we should be past the worst of it.

Yes, normal football season but still an abnormal draft and camp. Maybe back to normal for preseason games.

Zero chance of fans about 15 different strains and counting I’d argue there won’t be fans for at least 5 years if we’re not all dead according to the news. But seriously maybe 1 % allowed but this virus ain’t going nowhere.

Understood, but a lot depends in the vax. They are stating that so far it is effective against all of the strains ...so far...that is really what will drive this thing through out this year.

Given what the death toll is and how much people want to get back to normal, by Fall, the attitude will be...

My concern is the leadership very skeptical they will be able to get the vaccines out. Remember this is out government. Times are different these aren’t the same people that steered us through WW 1 and 2 or the Cuban missle crisis etc . These clowns woefully inadequate on both sides of the aisle just my thoughts

Mod Edit: Please don’t discuss politics here, never goes well.

It's been 1 week and the goal posts have already moved. Reopening occurring in all the tuff ruled spots. I'm pretty sure it won't be a big ordeal much longer.

I think it'll be at least 1/2 full by season start if not 3/4 full. Seen various articles stating by Julyish the pandemic stage will be over. They could be wrong, they could be right.

Can't say I'd care if anyone goes to games. Maybe some day the NFL will give a crap about not ruining the game.

Now that the NFL and Network TV is pro gambling; I think they just need to figure out a way to play the games inside casinos. We all know that fans are allowed inside casinos, while these big outdoor stadiums are completely shutdown.

I think there definitely will be fans in the stands but somethings give me pause. There allowing 7k vaccinated health care workers to SB LV. Fine, but why not 50k or 20k or somehing? They’re vaccinated, right? And the vaccine is the salvation! Right?
The PA Dept of Health is telling people who’ve been vaccinated to continue to wear masks, social dist, etc. ok, fine. But when can we start unwinding restrictions?

Trump may have downplayed the virus, but I fear his successors are downplaying the cure.

There is now close to 8 billion on this little ball (who counts them?) I've got a bad feeling tiny little things we cannot see are going to continue to try and wipe us out so this little ball can get back to the way it was.

Kudos to our scientist who kick ass beating all this crap that keeps coming at us.

This is what I've think is going on, but you are probably better off getting it from the official medical information sources.

They are still collecting data on whether those who were vaccinated might still be able to spread the virus. (The possibility: Someone gets infected, their vaccinated immune system fights it off, but there still might be a window of time where they are infectious.) You don't want to make too many assumptions about a novel virus that has only been researched for a year, and vaccines for a few months.

My guess is that it is too early to consider unwinding restrictions. You want 90% of the population to be vaccinated to rely on herd immunity, and right now we are at 20%-ish (between existing/previous cases and vaccinations).

tldr; You only unwind restrictions when the situation is substantially better. Loosing them too early, like what was done many times over the past year, is why the mess is as bad as it is.

It suxed seeing so many fans at Packers game, can't help but feel Steelers got shafted.

Hypothetica:l if Heinz Field was rocking full of fans, is Browns game result the same? I say no...

Probably, maybe 50% capacity at most....I'm thinking closer to 20% though.
