Explosive, Or Lack Thereof

All 4 north teams are in the bottom 7 of explosive plays difference........but one of them is going to the playoffs! lol

 

Dead last in the league in plays faced as a defense. Meaning they face more offensive snaps per game than any team in the NFL. The gap between the Steelers and the team at #30 (Colts) is larger than the gap between #30 and the next 4 teams.

The Steelers are allowing the 6th most third down conversions but are facing the second most third down opportunities.

The offense runs the third fewest plays in the league. 4th worst time of possession. But interestingly, are 12th in the league in converting third downs. I don't get how that works. They don't make explosive plays are better than league average on converting third downs, are low in turnovers, but they run barely any plays and don't hold on to the ball...

 

When you say 12th in the league in converting 3rd downs is that based on % converting? Makes a difference when comparing #s vs %s.

 

I could only find percentages. Might make it all track if looked at # of third downs.
