Expanded playoffs were just a CASH GRAB by the NFL

Neither of the 2 versus 7 seed games were remotely competitive with the 2 seed holding a 4 score lead over the 7 seed until late in garbage time.

The games were not fun to watch and the outcome was never in doubt. Adding a 7th seed was just a straight up cash grab by the NFL.

No honest fan thought the Steelers were a playoff team this year. They couldn't even beat the 0-12 Detroit Lions. Oh well, at least Ben got to go out in the playoffs....

Didn't take rocket science to figure out that an added game and added playoff team was a cash grab for the owners, networks, ect.

I was against adding another game and playoff team. Simply because at some point a team with a losing record will make the playoffs.

Yup. It's just a dilution of the NFL product. Like adding another game. Soon we will see "playoff games" where two teams with losing records play each other ALA a Toilet Bowl in fantasy football.

Poor Glemm who probably spent thousands to watch his team get absolutely pasted.

All the stadiums were full and we all watched the games. It is entertainment, were you not entertained? Do you feel duped? Are you mad that a business owner made money by offering a product that people wanted? Simple economics of supply and demand. It's not as if they held a gun to anyone's head and stole the money.

The money is less painful when you win

The Steelers have been to 11 home (16 total) AFC championship games. I have been to all of them. I’ll tell you, they are extremely exciting to be at

Have you ever gone to a Steelers game

I mean... the 2 seed used to get a bye anyways.

There will be a trap game in there sooner or later.

Being 1 seed just became an even bigger deal.

It is what it is. There were still the same number of competitive games if you take the 2 seed games out.

All the wildcard games where awful except for the Dallas and 49ers, and it shouldn't of been until Jimmy G threw a pick and let Dallas back in it a bit.

Bengals and Raiders wasn't too bad, it was at least a little interesting at the end.

You do know that the nfl is a business right? Every game is a cash grab.

I think it was painfully obvious yesterday that both Pennsylvania teams had no business in the playoffs.

The NFL is literally following the 90s NBA playbook. "more is better" to the point of over saturation. I didn't even watch all the games. I know we'll never go back to the old scheduling because that means the NFL losing money, but I hate the 17 game/14 seed system so much.
