Have to look at replacing Myers, too. Haven’t had a good coach since Munch.

Reps like this are too common this season. There were some really bad ones by Muth, too. It’s not just that these guys have bad reps it’s that they are comically bad like this one.

Even Seumalo who was the best acquisition of the offseason isn’t playing up to his past level. Then there is players that leave like Dotson who are playing better. Green in a small sample size looked better before he got hurt.

Not just Oline either, Spillane and Witherspoon having good seasons.

Wholesale changes for coaching staff this offseason. I don’t expect that to include Tomlin but at the very least Rooney should insist on overhauling the rest. I know some will bristle and that it’s the players fault and it is to a degree but I see a lot of regression this season. Also, lot easier to replace coaches than it is replacing all the players.

The O Line has taken a major step backwards this season. Very disappointing because after getting Seumalo and the rookie I really thought we were heading in the right direction.

The OL had been doing a better job in the run game before the Patriots game, they struggle with blitz pickups.

Witherspoon was good as a Steeler in 2021, too, so I think he is just erratic. Spillane played better in a different system, but it's not as if the inside linebackers played poorly this season when they were healthy. Inside linebacker had been a weakness for years, but it was a strength when Alexander and Holcomb were healthy.

That looks like the move the left tackle would make when I was kid playing electric football.

Even if Tomlin stays they need to gut the offensive coaching staff and bring in an Innovative Offensive Coordinator who brings in his own staff. None are worth retaining. And no Tomlin doesn't do the hire!

Jones takes over the left tackle position next season. A new center either high in the draft or free agency. Chuks is released or maybe traded. They bring in a new right tackle. Moore in his last year of his deal will be the swing tackle. Danial's and Seumalo stay put.

Freiermuth's contact runs through 2024. At this point I can't see an extension happening.

They can’t do another in house promotion for OC, if they really want to give Kenny the best chance at developing then they need a real OC. I am cautiously optimistic that they will considering they fired Canada something they almost have never done in their history. That tells me they are serious about getting Kenny right.

Muth can still turn things around, I think that is very possible with a real offense installed.

That's the thing for me man. DJs contract also runs out at the end of 24 as does Harris's deal if they don't give him a 5th year option. And I really wouldn't be surprised if DJ and/Pickens requests a trade this off-season especially if there's an in house promotion for OC. I'm just super pessimistic on the short and long-term trajectory of this roster, and Cam is likely set to retire very soon(this or next year), and Watt is on the precipice of being on the wrong side of 30, meaning he'll likely still produce at a high level, but his days are likely behind him. I don't know, but due to poor drafting prior to the 23 draft and mismanagement, this retool looks like a complete bust to me.

Don’t understand why the O Line hasn’t gotten the attention for just how bad it is and has been for a while now. The line that was placed in front of our HOF QB was atrocious and grounds for dismissal by all involved starting at the top. We will never be a serious contender until we get a line that’s worthy of placing a QB and RB behind it. It all starts there! We have a center that doesn’t know how to hike the ball consistently. Get this, he replaced a Center that wasn’t a Center! Even the coach hire is sub par, jeez.
Even our best, Seumalo, is seen standing around with no one to block. Just standing there looking befuddled! Holy H3ll!
Utterly ridiculous! it’s the main reason for the bad offensive play. We fix that, which unfortunately will take time now, our offense will start to look like an NFL offense again.

    IMHO

Myer's ol in Carolina were bad TOO

Not many bring his name up, but he's a problem that needs to be fixed, replaced, this off-season

Moore Cole need to go fo sho

NEED a new off scheme, coaches - OC OL Coach, wr coaches, rb, n QB coach

FRESH set of eyes w great coaching abilities to ID , read actually see what issues really are

This is a terribly example. NFL players lose battles and make mistakes. Trubisky had enough time and protection to make a throw.

What the Steelers need MOST is adequate and more consistent QB play.

I really had hopes for Moore, but he has regressed from being bad to just awful. Maybe harsh, but what a disappointment this line has been.

Then we get the news from Ben that Faulkner might be the OC next year, so much for fresh eyes and scheme.

What makes you think Roethlisberger has any real information? He's speculating.

Our offensive execution matches the 1976 Tampa bay buccaneers offense.

Their coach something like execution. I am in favor of it when they asked about the teams execution. Ditto for us
