They should be good against the Bengals. Dalton and AJ Green are both out. I could see an upset against Raiders though. I was surprised how well they played against the Chiefs.

Trust me, you're not the first person here to put me on ignore. Fragile psyches can't fathom that this team is just not that good... and needs better coaches along with better players in the draft and free agency to compete with the elite teams of the league.

As far as the lack of positivity is concerned, you are bringing the hyperbole. I've posted positive posts about Hargrave, Haden, Edmunds, Munchak, Switzer and Dobbs over the past couple of weeks.

 

They haven't really been using Conner recently anyway so who cares whether he plays? Any RB can take a couple handoffs a game and stand in the flat while Ben throws the ball at his feet.

 

samuels has been playing well when used. riddley can give us some quality minutes too. not real worried about this position for a couple of games.

 

trey edmunds brought up to the 53. interesting.

 

Seeing as how we haven't featured the running game in our last 3 outings, no JC = status quo for this week anyway. The only place we'll miss him is the short dumpoffs that actually work quite well.

 

We should be able to run no matter whose in there sunday, then again, we're playing a $hitty Oakland team on the road.

 

I know it's a dream that a lot of folks here really want to see - but at this point it's just that. If anyone honestly thinks that without JC (of course, we don't know this yet) that we are going into Oakland and try run the ball down their throats... well, I just don't know what team you've all been watching the past few weeks.

 

This is why there's a good chance the Steelers will lose. They could run Samuels and Ridley like they did Morris/Pegram back in the day.... and win easily. But they will play right into the Raiders hands and try to throw 50+ times.

 

Not sure why Conner wouldn't be ready, all reports I've heard is that it's not his ankle, and it's only a contusion..... so put a hello kitty band aid on it and run.

 

samuels has two receiving TDs so far. he may do quite well in this area.

If we make the playoffs we may see him again this season.

 

High Ankle sprains are not good. If lucky I would bet he may be back for last game of the season against the Bengals or Wildcard round. Would depend how severe of course.

Hopefully it's not that bad.

 

I think they can survive these final 4 games with both Ridley and Samuels as the backs. I still think this team can go and should go 3-1 to close out the year with the only loss coming against the Saints. Probably looking at 10-5-1 and a 4 seed and a rematch against the Chargers on wildcard weekend.
