European Championships (football without the pads...)

    So, is Euro 2012 being shown over the pond? Anybody on here watching?

    Aware that many won't find it interesting at all, but you never know around this place...

    So far, it's been quite entertaining. And the fans haven't started trying to kill each other (yet), so that's a plus.

    Ah, seems like I spoke too soon. Polish and Russian fans beating the **** out of each other this afternoon. Disappointing.

    Still, no water cannons used yet...

    It's on ESPN here in the states. I don't watch soccer (though I do usually watch some during the olympics), however crowd control with water cannons is piquing my interest... :hmmm: :popcorn:

    They've used them in previous tournaments in France and Belgium, though I have a feeling they might go for something a bit more... direct... in Poland and Ukraine. We shall see... I think the Poland/Russia fighting was always in the running, given the history between the nations. And I think the Russian fans did some kind of march through the Polish city before the match, which didn't help things.
