I'm not sure they will have to restructure(yet) to get a deal done with Russ (especially if it's in that range). The key is the guaranteed money, I think you could go for a 4 year deal and structure it with a possible out after 2 years. Personally, I would love for Fields to sign a 3 year deal (even if we pay a higher end back up salary). I don't necessarily see him as the future, but the talent is there. I do not see it happening, but having that QB room for a couple of years I think could keep this team pretty competitive. I know the comments and dreams of many is to find the next franchise guy, but unless you are in a place to offer a ton of present and future picks, we will never have that opportunity.

Jones has been through more than one coaching regime. His current coach does have a great history of developing quarterbacks and designing an offense. I don't think that is the problem. Jones just doesn't anticipate. He waits for his receivers to come all the way open. You just can't be a good NFL quarterback that way. He will have moments because he is athletic, has a good arm, and an excellent offensive coach, but he will never be good. I wouldn't hate him as a cheap backup, but he's not a good option as a starter.

I doubt Rudolph wants to return to the Steelers.

Did you see it??? I still haven't talked to anyone that did.
I wish I knew how to do that stuff. I haven't seen a clip of it by anyone. It was comical. Down in the redzone, and we need a Td, and C. Patterson knocks Pickens on his A$$, and then Patterson falls back, and there goes two targets automatically taken out of the redzone, and Wilson was going to one of them, or at least He looked like He was. LoL
    I was like Keystone cops

It was funny, and sad. If I knew how to do it ....I'd share the clip. I still have the game on DVR.

It’s weird, but I think Daniel Jones and Kenny Pickett are kind of exact opposites in the traits they are missing and neither will ever be a big time franchise QB.

Kenny didn’t really have any of the eye-popping physical tools and Daniel Jones does. Danny Dimes is big guy with a big arm and very athletic. But say what you want about Kenny, and moving on from him was the right move, he did have that clutch gene at the ends of games. Jones is the exact opposite. He makes costly decisions and mistakes in the biggest moments.

i don’t want either of them starting for the Steelers
