Erroneously stated again: Steeler fans travel well.

Steelers fans do travel well, they said there were 200 fans from Mexico to watch the game in Houston. Also when the Steelers are on the road some fans from nearby cities show up to see them, that might be their only chance to see the team.

 

You just gave me a 30 year flashback to when I lived in Colorado and traveled for work, frequently to Minnesota.

 

You could say they do travel well even if not from western PA. For instance if the Steelers play anywhere in Florida fans will drive from all over Florida, same if playing in Texas, California, New York state, etc, they will drive from all parts of the state and nearby states.

The loyalty did start with the steel mills shutting down during the 70's and people moving across the country for jobs and the great Steeler's run during the 70's.

 

I think they do travel well, we see it here all the time fans want advice traveling to a steeler game, as far away as overseas, see it all the time and multiply that by hundreds or thousands and I think it is a true statement, we do travel well.......
