I would imagine we keep him for injury depth.
I don't believe it but hey dual passing threat now so yeah! All in it appears
I like it's safe, he has ability. If he doesn't produce you can get out on year two without killer damage in cap hit.
If he stays healthy he can be a great red zone asset.
Better than what we had, assuming he is healthy (which given our recent TEs is assuming a lot).
I stated I'm an old Steelworker...Me not so good at posting links links or whatever you call them lol...
But, Thanks for liking my style
We certainly are....looking at you MT. Zero excuses now....
Fade out.....fade in....we're all at a free beer banquet and the MC is pulling names out of a drum. "And to the Steelers goes Eric Ebron!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I called it! Doesn't seem so far fetched anymore does it?
Yes you did and hard to believe we still have Vance as well........
Both Ebron and Doyle put up good numbers in Indy. Maybe Ebron and Vance can do the same.
That's just a lot of money tied up in a position that only Ben knows how to use. What if Ben gets hurt again and we, the entire ****ing coaching staff, forget how to use a tight end?
Hey Disco. (Notice I did not address with "Disco1981"...smile)
Great news. Great update! Thanks. IMO, We just got that much better. Now, Everything, is very dependent on Ben's return which seems to be coming along fine. Here are some of the projected players on "O":
RB: Conner, Whyte, Edmunds: Analysis - Young, gaining experience, and building chemistry....Nice Diversity. I am still holding out hope that is some way bell comes back to us. That would be a 100% Super Game Changer! I want this very bad. Even the smallest of rumors get my hopes up on tis one.
WR: JuJu, Washington: Johnson: Analysis - Young, gaining experience, and building chemistry....Nice Diversity. Like the hope of Bell's return, how about the small rumors of Martavis Bryant coming back. Ben d him had a good thing together. I know, I know probably wishful thinking. Nothing wrong with that though!
TE: McDonald, Vannett, Ebron: Analysis - Nice blend. Not short-changing Vannett (I like him too.) but Vance and Eric could be very, vey good together. Now, Fichtner needs to use them appropriately and get his head out of his rear-end.
O-Line: Analysis - Get your "shoot" together.
Coaching: Analysis - Especially the OC. Get your creative and even fundamental stuff together. Especially with the TEs.
I truly believe we have a fine set of skilled-set players on "O" who all bring a diverse set of abilities to the table.
STEELWINDS AKA The East Side Kid
Low risk potentially high reward, I like it. Ebron is very good in the Redzone. Ben will be pleased
Hey STEELWINDS, I got a kick out of you hinting that Fuchtner has creativity and/or fundamental stuff to get together If he got all of his creative and fundamental stuff together, gathered it up, put it in a pile, added a matching amount of coke, and snorted it; he would pass a zero tolerance drug test.
Well thought out and written as always..You da Man Steelwinds
Man I hope so, a healthy Ben with these two plus Conner, Juju, JW & DJ sounds good to me.
Hey Steelwinds you forgot Bennie Snell.
Like it! I didn't respond to this before because I didn't see the $ for Ebron. And now Ben is throwing well and without pain. Good stuff.
Love it. Now trade Vance and recoup a draft pick. Yeah, I know, depth but he’s hurt so much, can’t count on him and they have the kid from last draft.
Hope he catches more passes than he drops.
no. I think they unload Vann and Gentry will be 3rd TE.
Too much money to keep McDonald, Ebron and Vannett
He caught 13 of them for TD's in 2018...That would take our TE's 5 years to do ( If not more )
I think maybe the Steelers Depot guys mentioned a while back that Vannett could easily be cut the way his contract is set up?
vance should of split his contract with ebron..soo they could also split snaps to stay on the field
