Ben Rothlisberger. Even when his arm was shot, he was still better than anyone we got now. With 2 years out to rest, maybe he still has something left in that old arm?

Some may think this is a joke. I truly believe the team is reaching out to him to gauge his interest

It’s not the worst idea I have ever heard but his body was breaking down, especially his knees and elbow, how much of a beating would he be able to take upon coming back.

What the heck do they have to lose though, would make for a great story.

If ben came back. He would need to work out to get in game shape. Which for his size will take a month.

But if he could, you know flat out he would tell Tomlin, sullivan to F off and run it his way.

The steelers like rudolph. There's a reason he's still here. But dude is garbage and no one in the league wanted him. And he was our best option for an emergency QB dhe to be knows the plays.

Maybe I need to show his highlights vs low lights for some of y'all to realize how much of garbage he is when playing in a game.

I don't think they like him at all. They just think a guy with his experience is a nice No. 3 option.

I can see it now. TNF - Trubisky throws into triple coverage twice with one for a pick 6 and the other leading to FG. Trailing 10-0 at half. A change at halftime. Rudolph fumbles and is concussed on another headbashing. Picked up for another TD. Down 17-0. McSorley comes in and throws for 5 TD’s and 420 yards for a 35-17 victory. MCSorley takes us to the promise land and beats Purdy and the Niners in the SB. Gets drunk and falls off the parade float and becomes paralyzed. Next season we start KFP and Tomlin is extended for ten more seasons.

Almost correct, the 3rd QB cannot come in unless the other 2 are injured and cannot come back, so I assume in your scenario Mitch gets a hip flexor when he bends down trying to pick up an inadvertent and unseemly low snap from Mason, but the rest seems plausible. kind of, lmao

No joke at all, at least as an emergency QB. If Flacco can come back and still do ok, I don't see why Ben couldn't too. I just wonder if they would actually ask him if he's interested, and if he himself would be willing? I'd be more worried about his mobility than his arm, especially with that offensive line. Anyway, I think the only way that could happen is if Trubisky gets injured too, but I'm not exactly sure how that part of things work
