Well.... whenever you and your Franchise lacks sustained success for such a long time, his last season making him now the second HOFer inducted completing a season without winning a game very hard to stomach, it definitely can take away what was such a storied career. It is a shame really for Joe Thomas' individual accolades far outshined his dismal seasons in Cleveland. What's more is that he was the sole bright spot for a very long time; arguably still is even to this day.


As much as he was a PITA to play against for the AFC North, one can make the argument that Joe Thomas is a Top Three All Time Pass Protecting Left Tackle in NFL History. His Run Blocking was great but a far cry from someone like Walter Jones, Anthony Munoz or even Johnathan Ogden.
