I've read some speculation that Jackson III will be the 2nd CB off the board. I guess we'll see in about a week.

Why not a fan of Hargreaves? I don't think Apple really sticks out as a Steeler pick, so WJ3 is the only one I think we'd take. There's a decent chance he goes before us so if Hargreaves and Jackson are both gone, I think we target Billings, Joseph, Bell, or Neal.

I think Apple is in play now that the Skins signed Norman? Me personally I hope not.

Why don't you like Apple? He's got size, speed, cover skills. Comes from the school the Steelers love to draft from. He's young, and the Steelers like to draft younger guys and coach them up. What's not to like?

His tackling leaves a lot to be desired.

Thank you BF, his tackling is suspect and lets just say I am not a big fan of OSU players.
Although they will keep coming because Urban Meyer gets 5 star players. So you would think
these 5 star players will be NFL players. I have already made my top 4 selections
that I would like to see the Steelers get. But it is just my opinion, I have no clue who they will pick. I just like talking football.

We can get his tackling up to snuff.

Of all the issues to have that's a relatively minor one for a corner

I'd be fine with A'Shawn Robinson too.

    But would rather Billings.

A'Shawn Robinson is a much better fit for the Steelers than Billings, and he came for a visit.

I think Robinson is a good fit and he's definitely a talent upgrade.

    From Rotoworld.com:

Eli Apple - DB - Player
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac pegs Ohio State CB Eli Apple as the Steelers' "guy" at No. 25 overall.

Apple's stock appears to be on the rise, and he could be gone by the time the Steelers are on the clock. One thing appears certain, however; the Steelers are zeroed in on a defensive back in the first round. Houston CB William Jackson III, Clemson CB Mackensie Alexander, and West Virginia S Karl Joseph are also in play.

I don't know what Dulacs track record is on predicting the first rd pick, but if its anything like his reporting, we won't be getting Apple.

Didn't he straight up say that the Steelers were getting Ben his tall receiver in the first round a couple years ago ala Mike Evans or Kelvin Benjamin. IIRC it wasn't his opinion, but a report based on inside information.

Yep, forgot about that, good memory.

Had another gem just at the start of free agency, after Steelers signed Green, he said to look for another signing that day.
