I saw this headline, and then read he's due 7.2 million! Thats gotta be near the top of the league in pay per year for safeties. Just goes to show how classy guys likes Hines (and Jerome) are. Hines was willing to play for just about nothing, and 7.2 million might not be enough for Ed Reed to even continue playing.

Why shouldn't Reed want top money? Like him or not, the guy performs. He leads active defensive players in picks, pick return yards (by a huge margin) and is #3 in TDs.

As steeler fans, sometimes i forget how lucky we are to not have many types of these issues in the offseason. With the exception of Wallace this year, we rarely have to deal with players speaking out about money, or what they deserve. Our front office gets the job done, and quietly at that I might add. Just another reason why I love being a steeler fan.
