Yeah that's him. He's still lugging around some babyfat give him a year or two of NFL conditioning and he could be a real force...I posted a clip of him in one of these threads standing up and rushing from OLB....oh my!

Measurement events and drills start Friday. Until then it’s the behind the scenes stuff like medical, interviews, etc.

Sure, if he’s there. Everything I’m seeing has him projected in the top 10

    This.

He tested running 4.49 in High School weighing 255. He is 245 now. I would not be surprised if he tests in the high 4.2s. He is that fast on tape.

I’ll make a friendly wager against that. He’s fast, but not that fast. Also, I wouldn’t put much stock in a high school time. It was probably hand timed, which can be way slower than true electronic timing. He looks like a 4.50 guy to me on tape.

My friends we need an ILB,CB,FS,OLB ,WR, OG if we don't draft these positions or aquire thru FA
I will be highly disappointed. I will be extremely disappointed if an offensive player is selected
    before the fifth round.

The jets would be nice, but I don't think they will part with a 3rd rounder for him. I still think it will be the Raiders with 3 firsts.

I heard some scouts say they expect Byron Murphy to weigh 185 lbs, up from 170.

Personally I'd love to see them snag Devin Bush from Michigan. Those who may not be familiar, think a smaller but faster Shazier with a great football IQ at MLB. A d to have Shazier mentotoring from the sideline...common!! I wouldn't mind seeing them move up a couple picks for this kid if someone else is gonna make a play for him. Another sideline to sideline MLB who can cover.

I heard him being interviewed on SiriusXM, and he said he was up to - I think - 188. He was a pretty good interview for a draft prospect. Respectful and humble sounding. One of the first things he mentioned was the DBs who came out of Washington before him, and how much he learned from them.

I’d love to take him and then come back in the 2nd and get his teammate Taylor Rapp. I recently watched a few of Rapp’s games, and he is pretty darn good. Nice as that sounds, I expect that Murphy will be gone by pick 15, and Rapp in the 40’s.

Murphy is my draft crush right now as far as 1st rounders go so that means we have no chance at him, lmao. I am not as concerned as some when it comes to H/W show me game film and that is what I am interested in.

Instead of LB, anyone thinking maybe we go WR instead, to be #2 receiver behind Juju?

I hear this is a receiver rich draft. If so, we may be able to get a guy that would normally be picked at 10-15 instead of 20. Bottom line: For this one position, more value in 1st round in this particular draft.

Personally if they go WR in the first round, I'd be disappointed. Patriots had Edelman and who else, Rams had Cooks and who else and they went to the Super Bowl. I think good coaching (which we have on the offensive side) can overcome some limitations at the WR spot. I believe we will get a WR at some point in this draft but if we get a first or second rounder for AB84 then I hope we go defense. That's what is holding this team back. I believe James Washington rebounds next year and if they add a WR in FA or later in the draft, I'm ok with that.

If they had to go offense in the first, I would be ecstatic with TE TJ Hockenson but that's about it.

Why did he play at 170 pounds? Seems funny to me that he goes to 185?

The Steelers have proven they can find receivers in the mid rounds, defense should be priority #1. If they got some extra picks for AB, then yeah take a WR within the first 3 rounds.

This is a big difference than when we started and was listed at 170. And I remember commenting too light.
for rigors of an nfl season. Plus players wear down thru the season. Should be interesting to see his pro day weight.

Even more reason to not go WR in round 1, imo. We have Juju and Washington already we need another play maker but we could get a stud in rounds 2-3-4. I will be honest Georgia had 3 good WR's last year Ridley, Godwin and Hardman all offer something we need and all will go in different rounds. Add Deebo, Sills, Renfrow, Isabella and Butler who have people talking. Plus guys way later maybe fa's like Doss, Curtis and my favorite dark horse Jesper Horsted and this draft has starters up and down. No need to go WR round one with so many other needs, jmo.
