If he uses his athleticism to run Shazier will smoke him. One good shot should cure him of running lol

I think so too, said as much a couple posts down. He's still a rookie though and hasnt remotely seen all the coverages/blitzes that can be thrown at him.

Hes not better than Dalton at this point, I dont care about yardage, I care about points scored, this defense has held two teams with good QB's to 32 points, 16 points a game. Their redzone D has been lights out.

Better than they are getting credit for.

He took several during yesterdays game, he's tough. He earned my respect last night.

Wentz looks like he may be the real deal, eventually. His accuracy is very good and he seems to be able to read defenses well enough.

I hope his pin-point 10 - 20 yarders don't just eat us up. That seems to be our weakest pass defense area.

Yeah, I was a Matthews fan coming out of college but he blew what was an absolutely beautiful pass by Wentz.

I never saw the game. Hopefully we have a few more shots for him. If Mitchell makes it to him he is done. Mitchell always plays lights out

I actually went on a Browns forum and told them that if they traded out of #2 theyre idiots. Back around the draft. I got responses like "were not getting Goff so why use a #2 on Wentz when hes gonna be a bust, never played against real competition, etc. etc." might go rub it in their faces today but, whats the point.

Wentz can make all the throws and take a hit, rams fans are probably wondering why their pretty boy goff isnt playing, and if we lose this game it will be on us not on them, we're favored by 5 points on the morning line.....

Steelers usually do not play well in Philly.
But I like our defense better, than the two Carson Wentz has gone against the last two weeks.
Should be a good test for the Steelers.

I actually think our D will be ok in this game I am more worried about Ben .. I think that the Eagles have put out a QB each week they do some creative stunts and blitzes upfront ..Our OL needs to play much better than last week..

Usually, I'd be very skeptical. But the Eagles are 2-0 which qualifies them to be a good team even with a rookie QB. Steelers usually do well against good teams... except for the Patriots. Steelers will stink up the joint against .500 or worse teams when they should beat them.

If the Jets beat the Chiefs this week... it's pretty much a gauranteed loss next week at Heinz vs. the Chiefs. Chiefs will be 1-2 and will whip the Steelers, because the Chiefs suck. If Chiefs beat Jets... Steelers will win because Chiefs are a good team. Either way... Steelers will go 1-1 during the Chiefs/Jets stretch on the schedule.

That is a half a point drop from yesterdays line. I think that is too much to give them. I kind of like the over/under at 46.5

Eagles have zero turnovers so far. Hoping the odds catch up to them, and we get a couple. I'm counting on Willie Gay to bait the rookie into a pick 6!

How will the eagles corners matchup with our receivers? AB is still upset with his performance against the Bengals. Wheaton will be back. Showtime. I look at our defense stopping them more times then they stop our offense

I am impressed no one has brought up the fact that those Eagles led defenses of the 2000s were by a future HOF safety in the name of Brian Dawkins and star players like Trent Cole.

Players like those gave even some of the best quarterbacks at the time headaches and fits. There was a good reason why Ben could not do much against "Weapon X" or the Eagles.

... the other was an offensive line constructed of tissue paper.

I noticed the self induced shots Carson had last week against the Bears and I am
thinking, he won't last too long taking those type of shots. Protect your body son, don't take
those kind of hits, your promising career will be short if you don't.

Philly has been a tough place to play. Have lost the last four there. Recall the nightmare in 2008. Haven't won there in either the Cowher or Tomlin eras

Since 1988 the Steelers are 0-4 there and 3-5 overall. However, Ben is 2-1 vs them so this game is winnable. But the D better scrap that WTFIW[whatever it was] 4thQ D. They played well earlier.

CK 13 said: "Can't have last Sundays Ben"...

Yeah, Ben had one of his worst outing in like maybe 10 yrs. Still, he managed to hit enough big plays to really easily win the game. Another good example of you can STSUYB[shove-stats-butt].

The O[Oline] better really get focused for this one, It is tough to win there.

Anyone else see any similarities between this Wentz kid and 2004-2005 Ben?

This is a pretty good game in this household here. My oldest son(don't live at home and my middle son(living at home) are Steeler fans. My youngest son(still in school) and his friends are all Eagle fans so we all will be watching this game together and the trash tak is pretty bad. As a matter of fact if I remember right the last time they played my youngest ended upstairs.....lol!

This years schedule we play a team that all my friends are fans of, Jets, NYG, Cryboys, Pats, Fish, Bills and Colts. If I could have one sure win not sure which one it would be but this one ranks up there and one of the most I would like to win......

They Steelers have not won in Philadelphia since 1965. Wentz is looking like a top 10 quarterback. Steelers will win if they have NO turnovers.
