The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed offensive tackle Dylan Cook to a one-year deal, marking his second campaign with the team. The deal has not been announced by the team, but has been listed on their transaction report on the team's website .

Cook signed with the Steelers in 2023 and made the 53-man roster. Despite not being active for a game, he was on the roster for the entire season, and received plenty of praise about his versatility and growth as a lineman.

Cook's story is an interesting one. He started his college career at Montana State-Northern as a quarterback but transferred to Montana as a walk-on. There, he moved from a passer to a lineman, beginning his career as an offensive tackle.

Prior to the Steelers, he spent his rookie season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on their practice squad.

Cook should be viewed as a candidate to make the 53-man roster once again in 2024. With the release of Chuks Okorafor, Pittsburgh's top offensive tackle options are currently Broderick Jones, Dan Moore Jr., Spencer Anderson and Cook.

i posted this a few days ago in the offensive tackle thread. they said last year he showed a little in camp. we have quite a few linemen that have quietly been brought in during last season. we may have some decent depth already here with he and anderson. they brought in beach as well. he played tackle at wisconsin but may be more likely to play guard.

a few guys we have and had last year too so they are familiar.

    A QB?
So he could hold for extra point attempts, fake it and throw for 2?
He could line up in Wildcat? Who's gonna stop him on the Option?
