Aye, it goes without saying that anyone starting such a thread should expect to be called out. After all, when was the last time any of them were acurate predictions?

Actually, having said that... I do seem to remember threads talking about Cotchery before we got him. Burress as well, more recently.

 

Unfortunately 9 times outta 10 when its some big name like this or Woodson or whoever else most people are going to crap on it/etc...its just a fact and the way things are. A guy like Cotchery or other mid to low level players...may not get the same reaction because they could actually happen and such (though still some people will crap on them too, but not as much as big names). As I said its just the way things are and have become...probably because over the years it seems like anytime a big name becomes available someone posts the Steelers need to sign them (obviously at this point there are some non-serious/sarcastic ones that get posted)...i remember one point on the old MB there were probably 6 or 7 of those type of threads on the main page alone...and i think most people that have been around (plus some newer people) feel its like beating a dead horse or whatever, haha. And its something thats not going to change...but oh well...its all part of being on an MB.

 

As long as people believe 'the 4-letter sports entertainment' network and yutes keep playing Madden video games, the aging vet threads will never stop.
