Amen. The best sentiment one can have from this news. After all these decades of education overload on this issue, and people STILL operate vehicles in such a condition. With the massive amount of sentiment that came out of this horribly tragic event, it's a great opportunity to use it for some good, and try to hammer home how completely indefensible it is to operate a vehicle in that condition. I sure hope people take hold of the opportunity to do so.

 

You wonder what it was going to take for him to realize that he was running out of opportunities to play pro ball. Yet, he chose to drive under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Now his family has to live with this and the fact he had a woman in the car that wasn't his wife. So sad, I feel for his family and friends. I don't think the guy was a bad person in a malicious way. It just seems as if he had a hard time leaving his wild years behind.

That would explain him making bad decisions like walking on the highway.

 

Sounds like he was pretty much living a double life. So many people said he was such a great person and an incredible teammate but at the same time his life continued to spiral out of control. I remember his OSU coach saying at one time that he was a great athlete but between the ears he was basically out in left field. Not a direct quote but to that effect anyways.

 

I don't even know what to say. I'm sorry for his family.

 

Unbelievable. I was hoping he was starting to get his life together but going clubbing with ‘cuz, getting drunk, doing drugs, getting into a fight and screwing around with someone other than his wife is unfortunate confirmation that he still hadn’t learned his lesson. Unfortunately, the decisions he made on that fateful day cost him his life. This honestly makes me mad and sad at the same time! Prayers for his family. DECISIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!!

 

Incredibly sad end to a promising life. A story told time and time again across the world sadly. Thoughts are with his family and friends.
