Dust has settled... Great win but very lucky and horrible offensive gameplan.

Agree we were not on the field much the 1st half, they controlled the clock with Fournett runs. Also Ben was jittery in the pocket the first half and when he gets that way he tends to focus on AB too much. In the second half he looked away from AB and went to JuJu and tight ends more.

I do believe the Steelers had too much time off after the Thurs game and came out rusty. Ben is a rythem type passer and takes time to get in sync. same thing happens after the bye week and at the beginning of the season when Ben doesn't play much in pre season. I dont think we have any more of long stretches when we don't play unless it's the bye week that kinda of scares me.

People talk about Belichick being a coaching genius, but then he turns around and makes game plans to only score 10 points against Detroit and Tennessee. If he was so smart, he would have planned for them to score more than that.

We kept our defense on the field by our complete inability to convert 3rd down and ben’s interceptions.

I'd say it was a horrible gameplan. Their d-line has always been a bad match up for our o-line. We didn't have success running the ball in 3 games in a row against them in shotgun.

The inability to convert on 3rd isn't an excuse not to run the ball. It's a product of not running the ball and being predictable.

Inability to convert on 3rd down sometimes happens when runs are stuffed on early downs, resulting in low percentage 3rd-and-longs. That is also a possible theory.

Someone would need to look over the stats carefully to figure out what actually happened, instead of us guessing what might have happened.

Apparently you missed the part where we allowed Jacksonville more rushing yards than any team in the last 5 years? They were averaging close to 10 yards a carry in the first half. Luckily the jags killed their own drives with penalties and an inability to throw the ball. If we stopped the run early in that game...I have NO doubt it would have been a blow out in our favor. I agree the offense did nothing with the ball when they had it but again we could not get the Jags offense off the field. Stopping the run is an essential part of winning football games.

The jags have a good defense, so don't forget that. This is not the first time Ben has looked like crap to start games. In fact almost always our offense takes a quarter to get into sync. The jags owned the clock because they ran the ball with success. This was Bill Cowher 101. I would think any steeler fan could recognize what was happening.

I'd love to see Cowher coach in today's NFL. I think he'd win alot of games doing what the jags did to us, as long as he had an average QB. The jags don't have an average QB. He's a disaster.
