DUNE

Foundation is the other series I'm watching. I know they have to adapt it because the players don't stay the same through the time jumps in the books and we're seeing how they plan to establish continuity via the slow ships/genetic dynasty angle...

I just find that movies/series that have the adults do what you'd think adults people would do work better.

We're having a blast ripping Invasion apart every episode. People are just doing stupid stuff for the sake of the plot.

I just got it , and will watch it tonight.
Also I've only read the 1st two novels.
Just wondering what everyone else thought about it, and have You read it???

 

Dune. The greatest work of science fiction ever! I’ve read all the books. Dune, at least 6 times. Saw the movie. It was as true to the book as it could be given the time constraints. The novel is way too complicated to do in 2 movies. Needs to be a series like Under the Dome. If you see the movie without reading the book, you’ll be very confused

I didn't like it. It looked great, sounded great, but wasn't great.
I actually liked the 1st movie they did better.
Also what's with leaving out characters,and changing characters???
Also they left stuff out,and added other stuff that never happened.
I was sorely disappointed.
Also some one needs 2 tell the boy that played Paul A......eat a cheese burger sometimes. LoL

 

As I said, the story is way too complex for a movie

 

Give Me that budget. I could do it, but I actually read the story, and didn't just read the cliff notes. LoL....Like I think this director did.

Just saw that and agree. I always pictured the emperor as younger.
